Was nothing but a poor college student back then...

Oh, I was under the assumption that you were on the team.  ::)

Good golly.  SJU just beat #1 Wartburg 21 - 15 at the Vegas tourney.

Suh-weet!  Novak's building quite a team.  He's brought in some good recruits the past few years.

Might be time for me to write an article on the Johnnie wrestling team for The Guillotine!

Wow.  That is impressive.  Hopefully no let down against Coe.

Wierd that they don't have a dual meet with Augsburg.

Time to start d3wrestling.com?

St. John's won the heavyweight match on a disqualification.  DQ came on a slam.

I was disappointed to learn that, to say the least.

Hopefully no let down against Coe.

Coe is ranked #3.  Pretty impressive that in the last two weeks, the Johnnies have been #1 and #2.  And now they'll line up against #3.

Why would we want to wrestle the Auggies?  They aren't even in the top 5... ::)

SJU is scheduled to wrestle duals against Augsburg, Concordia-Moorhead and St. Olaf in Perham Jan. 28.

Thanks for the info.

Nothing against Perham, but that's not the most convenient place to get to for a fan.  Is is a combination wresting tournament ice fishing contest?  ;)

The Johnnie wrestlers also downed #3 Coe today!

Predictions on rankins in two days?

I reckon the number four team goes to number one (courtesy of the Johnnies beating numbers 1, 2, and 3 since the last rankings), the Johnnies go to number 2 and Wartburg drops to three.  I reckon that the Auggies move up to four and the Cobbers to five for a 60% grab of the top 5 by the MIAC.

Anyone else see the Gagliardi Trophy on the CBS national news with Katie Couric Friday evening when they did a story on Matt Hoffman of Rowan, one of the four finalists? Nice story about Matt and the bone marrow that he donated in 2009 to an older gentleman and the impact that it had on the his life.
Yep, I, too, saw the piece; it's quite the noble and honorable thing he did... He and many of his teammates did it, if I remember correctly? It was cool to see Hoffman meet the guy he donated to, too...
+K for you for calling attention to the piece...

Perham?  Gimme a break!  How about at Augsburg so I have a chance at seeing it?

Being a Knight fan, bummer about the DQ... I am not sure on the move to #2, the Johns were upset by Olivet. While not against the same competition, the Knights sent a 2nd team to the duals that went 4-0!!

Not D3 football, but WKIII went to the Bears/Vikes game..waiting for the "stories" from him today. Only text from him during the game was when Hester ran the punt back" punter didn't want to play kicked to him on purpose" Got a chuckle out of that.
