I caught a part of Christmas at Concordia also - Great :)

I also believe that one of the shots of the younger Vincent Lombardi was a game against the Johnnies. The helmet looked like a Johnnie helmet, but since it was in B&W, I couldn't be sure.

MN winters suck!  >:(  After 3 hours of shoveling (with help for 2 hours), I am left with an incredibly sore back and half of a driveway that still needs shoveling.  Should be a fun evening.

Dear Duffman,

Invest!

Santa was nice, so I took BDB's advice.  We'll probably get no more snow this winter  ;D

If we get no more snow, it will have served its purpose.
Everyday is payday in paradise.

I had Mrs Oz take a look at your pic with the dog on the front sidewalk.  It reminded her why she wanted to move back Down Under.  After an OMG!, her first question was, "Does he have a snow blower?"  Even the non-natives are aware of the Minnesota necessities.

I see that it's very shiny.

Hey Duff,
Based on the orange color is it a Simplicity an Ariens or a Husqvarna?
It looks pretty nice.
Welcome to adulthood  ;)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

The interests can be funny.  After clicking on duff's pic to embiggen, I see that it's a Compact 24.  Google tells me that's an Ariens.  I would hate to be a journalist nowadays - there's an ever decreasing niche for information collection.

Duff, if you buying a blower means we'll get no more snow this winter, then I say well done!  ;)

The machine looks very nice. 7 horse at least.

Sweet machine, Duff. Now you need to trick it out with some wheel chains. And those 2 flapper deals on the handlebars? They need to be taped down with electrical tape, otherwise the damn thing shuts off every time you let go of it. Add a cup holder and you're all set!

I think the flaps on the handle bars probably control 1 - self propel and 2 - the blower auger.

My machine looks very similar, and that is how it functions.  The engine runs the whole time, but the wheel drive is controlled by one flap, and the auger by the other.

I bought mine last winter and only used it a few times...but I have been loving it this year.

DuffMan

GoldandBlueBU is correct.  And I don't think I'll need chains.  My dad's got some for his machine, and I never, ever remember using them, and his driveway is a lot bigger than mine.  Maybe if I were on a hill, I would need them.

Fine, skip the chains. But I still say tape those babies down and let 'er buck.

And the cup holder!
