Damn.  The Johnnies finished third at the golf championships.  A great showing and not a senior on the team.  Very exciting.

Also, WTF is with a $75 limit at a gas pump?  That's about 3/4 tank in my truck.   ???

I have the same problem in NJ, I think it is a credit card thing, some are 75, some 100.

It's a fraud prevention technique. Up to $75 or $100 if a fradulent charge is made the credit card processing company or someone in the chain has the loss. If a fueling site decides it doesn't want that limit, the site operator then accepts responsibility for those costs.

It's also why some sites have a prompt asking for your zip code. They don't care where there customers are coming from, it's a cross check on the card being used.

Just one more example of how the dirt bags of the world inconvenience the law abiding folks.

I do understand the reasoning, but with $4 a gallon gas, the $75 isn't filling up a lot of the bigger vehicles.  Just a PITA.

In the past two weeks, we have had two debit cards issued by one bank hacked and a card from a different bank "compromised".  Visa's caught it quickly each time, but I feel like a tool getting my cards declined  :-\  Thankfully, we seemed to have cleared things up on that front.

Typical MN fishing opener here  ???  Tuesday, it's near 90 and humid.  Today, mid-40s and pesky showers.  I got out for a short time this morning to chase some pike.  I boated 8 in less than an hour, but when it started raining, my action pretty much died.  Plus my hands were feeling numb, so I headed home.  Can't wait for a delicious fish sandwich for lunch!!!

And, more importantly, the Tommies finished in 6th.  I could only find results back to 1998 so far, but this is the first time in that time frame they have finished worse than 2nd.

That would be second most important.

Hawthorn continue with their better than average, but not spectacular, season.  There was a mighty AFL clash on the weekend between Geelong and Collingwood, however, the two remaining undefeated teams which Geelong took by three points.  It was a bruising affair played with the passion of a post-season game.  Very hard at the ball.  Here's a short clip of a monster collision that knocked a Collingwood player out of the game.  Footy like this is very fun to watch, but it sure is hard on the players.
