Catholics, lapsed or otherwise, will enjoy this. If you're at work, be aware there are some naughty words.

What's your definition of lapsed? Lutheran, Evangelical...(hushed tone) Baptist  ;)

Switching gears, I have officially begun mourning the fact that I will miss the MN State Fair this year. I think it's the first time in a decade!?! Simply crushing development. No cheese curds, no Sweet Martha's, no bottomless milk, no grilled corn on the cob. Tragic and painful.

On a positive note, KC (my new 'home') really does have incredible BBQ. Anyone's ever down in the KC/Overland Park area (even the unlapsed catholics  ;D), drop me a line. We'll go grab some Oklahoma Joe's or Jack Stack and a Boulevard while we discuss the glories of all things DIII and MIAC related.

...and updates about new...player nicknames...

I am on the edge of my seat  ::)

In the Aussie Rules amateur leagues, every team has a 'Porno'.  And there will have to be a 'Booger' as well, I think.

Speaking of great BBQ, Q Fanatic in Champlin is a place I would highly recommend.  It is mighty good--none of that Famous Dave's crap.

A tradition unrivaled...

Famous Dave's is to BBQ what McDonald's is to a hamburger.

What style BBQ does Q Fanatic specialize in?

Here's a link:  Q Fanatic

It's kind of a little hole-in-the-wall, but it was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.

Looks excellent. And if it was featured on Triple D it must be some seriously good eats.

Old news, but I forgot to post it when it was fresh:

Congrats to Coach Johnson on being named Minnesota Football Coaches Association (MFCA) Man of the Year

One of the many great things about DIII. Our coaches tend to be very high quality individuals. They've got all the competitive fight of other levels, but seem to grasp better than most the unique privilege coaching affords in the mentoring of young men.

JG leads a story on older coaches in the Miami Herald today.

He would have to lead any story on that topic, wouldn't he, repete?  A man bites dog spin would be a tory like that which doesn't feature him.

You're forgetting that we d3 fans are a fairly tiny fraternity.  Much of the world (even including sportwriters) have never heard of JG.  Now such a story that didn't include JoePa - that would be 'man-bites-dog'! ;D

True that - about 99% of Californians based on my experience.

Happy July 4th to everyone.  #13 heads for Japan in a couple of days.  He's heard about a kid from his high school who is playing football over there so he intends to check that out while he's there.

Stay safe, everyone.

How did the state high school all-star game turn out?  Anyone bound for MIAC schools stand out?
