I just went to the SC Times to read up on the 2011 Johnnies.  Man for a guy who is out at practice (beat reporter) on a daily basis, Frank R is just terrible.  Basically says nothing.  It was a wild goose chase just to find his "blog" and then once there a complete joke for information.  Might as well stick with Bennie soccer and cross country running...

TDT didn't earn the title of President of the Classless A$$holes Club for nothing, that's for sure.

Something tells me TDT could sit in on coaches meetings and live with Gags and still not come up with anything better to write  ;D :o

As promised, a shameless plug for my interview with former St. John's star quarterback Tom Linnemann. Obviously Johnnie fans will find more interest in it than others, but there's stuff in it for all MIAC fans, including Tommie talk, and great insight into playcalling and what it's like dealing with injuries. He even talks up Mount Union. As always, Tom was very entertaining and not afraid to share his opinions. We talked about Gagliardi, The Sweet Season, being hated and much more. Hope you enjoy.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black... ::)

TDT, you own the CAC franchise for this last post. Now get down on your knees and apologize.

Duff, I'm thinking you are getting damn close to needing to settle on a name for the new member of the clan coming soon. Yes?

You are correct.  The wife and I are still battling over names, though.

Wow, Linnemann is one arrogant, profane dude...but man is he entertaining!

Nice work sfury. That was a long read, but it was worth every bit of it. Just flat out good stuff. The stories, the quotes, the questions, just thoroughly enjoyable.

I've met/read about Tom Linnemann who knows how many times. I still don't know if I like him or hate him.

Thanks for the nice words about the Linnemann piece, guys. An interviewer's job is a heck of a lot easier when you have a subject like Linnemann. He's a bit easier to talk to than, say, a 15-year-old giggling gymnast.

"I love to, um, well, jump."

"I like having a nice house in Plymouth and wearing tailored suits."

Reminds me of Ron Burgundy stating  "I'm very important, i have many leather-bound books, and my apartment smells like rich mahogany " in Anchorman.

Certainly a touch of douchebag in there, but it was definitely entertaining.  I've also heard him on AM1500 a number of times and found his commentary to be enjoyable.

Great interview! I really enjoyed remembering past games through his stories. Of course, now I feel really old... :'(
