It doesn't look good for Tommie color commentator Joe Senser and family...tragic at best.  I can't believe he's looking forward to covering the St. Norbert / UST game tomorrow with this mess hanging over his family.  My thoughts go out to all parties involved.

His vehicle ran over and killed a man.  He won't disclose who was driving the vehicle, but it was never reported stolen, so one can assume he knows.  Sounds like he's up poop creek without a paddle.  How long before the truth comes out?

The comments in the article about him being a man of integrity are laughable.  Unless he was completely un-aware of the situation (possible, but unlikely) he allowed the car with someone's blood on it to sit in his driveway, and waited for the cops to figure it out rather than contacting the police himself? If that's integrity, then I am ill informed about life.  ???

No "Gameday Notes" up on SJU's site.  What's up with that?

I was trying to be kind...but yes I agree they are up a creek w/out a paddle.  To borrow from Gomer Pyle in Full Metal Jacket...."I am in a world of Sh_t"

Yeah, it's ridiculous.  He's not doing himself any favors.  If a person hit someone with my truck, I know I'd like the opportunity to clear my name, but that's just me.  I have a hunch I know who was driving  ::)

And just prior to the integrity comment was this choice statement:

Quote
"Obviously the Senser family recognizes this is a tremendously tragic incident, and the Senser family has significantly cooperated with the State Patrol in their investigation," Nelson said.

In what world is lawyering up prior to coming forward and refusing to admit who was driving (not to mention fleeing the scene of the accident) 'significantly cooperating' with the State Patrol.  :o ???

Anybody got any advice on street parking over at UST?  The family is going to the CDH game tonight and I really hate the idea of paying $1.50 per hour to attend a high school game.

Park on the street on Marshall by the BP about two blocks north of campus and walk. It's not ideal but everything else is a congested mess. Plus, you get back on to 94 easily if need be.

We were right in your neighborhood. We had seats about 5th row directly behind the South endzone goalposts. We were there to celebrate my dad's 60th.

I grew up in NW Iowa (3 hours from Lincoln), and was falling in love with college football in the early/mid-90's. A pretty easy time to be a Huskers fan, to say the least. My dad played small college football in the early 70's, also an easy time to cheer for the Huskers. It'll be sad to see so many of the great rivalries go by the wayside with their move into the Big Ten, but Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan and Penn State are going to prove to be some great and budding rivalries as well.

Okay, well, I'm older than your dad and grew up in Oklahoma so was never really a big Husker fan - though I liked Bob Devaney a lot and loved the OU-Neb games of the 70s.  I stopped pulling for OU during the Switzer years, so actually rooted for UNL at that time (saw them beat the Sooners at Lincoln in 1982 - great game).  I soured on the Huskers when Tom Osborne became an apologist for Lawrence Phillips but unapologetic for a nonconference schedule that has been a joke for years.  However, I think the move to the Big 10 was a great move for them, though I loved the old Big 8 and wish it still existed so I'm sorry to see those old rivalries go.

I suggest UST open its baseball field to parking for games!

I'm sure there was already a love/hate relationship with the local neighborhood, but the neighbors must have been really unhappy with the school's decision to remove the lot and push even more cars out onto the streets.

Right, because who couldn't mistake Madison for Minneapolis...

And Wisconsin looked really stinkin good with Russell Wilson under center. As if they needed any help offensively >:(

"I am nearly positive SJU also charged $10 last year for the UST game and $7 for students, vs regualr $7 and $5."

Maniac, SJU charged the usual $7 and $5 last October.

Ticket prices at Hopkins High School for varsity football games are $7 adults and $5 students.  Not sure which is worse...7 bucks for a high school game or 10 bucks for a D3 game.  Good thing I get in free at both.  ;D

Reports are that his wife was driving.  Does Senser really do the UST broadcast tomorrow?
