It doesn't look good for Tommie color commentator Joe Senser and family...tragic at best.  I can't believe he's looking forward to covering the St. Norbert / UST game tomorrow with this mess hanging over his family.  My thoughts go out to all parties involved.

I am sooo excited for football starting tomorrow!!! I just bought a new laptop and downloaded RealPlayer so I am all set!! Today at work we are having a "Tailgate Party" themed goody day and I have my coworkers so well trained that they included "Go Johnnies!!!" on the banner! Yes, I am ready for some football!!

EDIT:  And what good game notes they are.  I don't remember position diagrams in previous editions.  The folks have gone all out on this.  Well done.  Add a page to keep stats and they are practically publishing a game program.

Glenn Caruso and the wind machine at the corner of Cretin and Summit has put an enormous amount of pressure on how this season plays out. This season will speak to the staying power of the Caruso regime.

I'm MRF. I haven't contributed to the board for awhile but do lurk from time to time. Thanks for posting this to the masses. I'm looking forward to watching the Johnnies bounce back in 2011. Somehow a lot of people are thinking John, Jerry, Gary and crew have lost it in the course of a season. I don't see that being the case.

Your analysis is always good stuff, MRF. I think you're spot on about Caruso's longevity (or lack thereof) at UST. It's something I've been quietly talking about for a year or so. And if you watch the language he uses in interviews, there's been a couple times where he has used phrases that indicate a potentially rapid depreciating tenure.

How to say this gracefully ... er, uh, the position diagrams are not new, Oz.  They've been part of the GameNotes as long as I can remember.

I could have sworn I saw a post yesterday about the SJU game being streamed on oleoletv.com, but I don't see it now.  It's hard to see how that could be done anyway.  SJU wouldn't stream it and anyone else would need SJU approval.
