Principal Ritz, I couldn't agree more, even if you were just an o-lineman  ;)  My worst trouncing (in college) came at the hands of MUC, too.  We came away from it, put it behind us, and put together a nice season in 2002.
Come to think of it, my worst loss in high school came to Albany.  Is there something about teams that wear purple (aside from the Vikes...and Little Falls)?

A tradition unrivaled...

Ritz, I never played at any level past my back yard.

What you say makes perfect sense to me.

Hope I did not come across as whining.

BTW,

Saw Elliot at Tiff's Saturday night. The guy looks like he could still make the Vikings tomorrow if he stepped on the practice field.

I say, "why not?"

Forget the Vikings. Is there anyway of finding some eligibility at SJU? There's gotta be a second medical redshirt lurking somewhere.

Couldn't be any worse than Bernard Berian.

Whatever I said Saturday was said with much beer on board-but I stand by what I said.
To be accurate, I never complained about running up the score. The only thing I said was in relation to a pass I saw in about the middle of the 3rd, when UST was up 49-0 and they were on the SJU 30 or so, pass near the endzone. Just my opinion and many disagree, but doesn't make me right or wrong or them right or wrong. Just an opinion and this is what is great about this site-many different opinions.

The only problem is, I don't see either team being able to get the ball to him.

This week's poll question: a. Ries, b. Bruns, c. Platooning by quarter?

I'm going with c.

Also, is it legitimately possible that c is the best answer?

The only golf update I want is when the bar cart gal is coming around. Other than that, golf has no place in any sort of legitimate sports conversation. It's a game. Not an athletic pursuit. Anything John Daily can do at the highest level is a passive activity done to kill an afternoon.

The only SJU program currently holding an MIAC title is the outdoor track & field program. Remember the fall of 2006 when the Johnnies became the first and only team to win all 4 MIAC fall sports titles? Dark days in Collegeville. When is the administration going to wise up and let John and Bob Alpers go? I'd also like to see them rehire former hockey coach John Harrington only to fire him moments after for previously leaving Collegeville.

Why all the crazy s'$.  I underĀ§tand the $ in U$T, on account of our financially $uce$$ful alumni, and jealouĀ§y, but what of the other odd Ş'$? i.e. pi$$ed.

Is it possible the platooning continues the rest of the season? What's the old saying? If you have 2 QBs, you really have none.......
or something like that.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Actually, I think that the question to ponder is on what basis are the coaches looking to pick the QB?  We bander around all sorts of things like platooning doesn't work and the arm strength of one is better than the other, but none of our comments would be new thoughts to the coaches. So can anyone surmise the criteria they are using to judge the appropriate QB?  Can anyone make us all a bit smarter?
