Any word out of Northfield?

While I'm on it, how do they (St. Olaf) not have video or at least audio for their games yet? Come join us in the 21st century guys, it really is a lot of fun!  ;)
St. Olaf has probably the best video broadcast in the conference, and the final score was 28-7.  Carleton beat the spread by .5

Cobbers enlist a very balanced offensive attack, and hold Augsburg to only 85 yards rushing in a 38-26 homecoming victory. Why oh why oh why oh why did Concordia have to drop that OT loss to SJU earlier this season? I think both the Bethel and STO games down the road will be worth a look. Fear the ear, baby!

Congrats to the Cobbers. Concordia took away the run which opened up  Hakeem Bourne-MacFarlane for over 150 receiving yds and a TD but still, not enough to win. Cobbers sound like a good team. Looking forward to next weekend; Auggies vs. St.Olaf. We need a win.

I read this and thought you were being sarcastic. D3 scoreboard had no reference to it. When I went to St. Olaf's football page and clicked on the schedule there was no indication of a video or audio broadcast for the game. It even has a key at the top of the page to indicate the games that have this feature, with nothing beside the games. Upon further review I now realize it's on the right side of their football homepage. Hidden in plain site  :-X

No argument here! Go beat the Olie out of Olaf. We'll be doing our best to saint out of Thomas.  ;D 8-) If we both accomplish that things will get really fun for the duration of the MIAC season!

Yeah -- at the beginning of the football season we sent an email to all the SIDs reminding them that while we're glad to punch in every game on the schedule for the 2011 season, we don't have time to add all the broadcast links. They all have access to do that and post game stories and box scores and such.

Anyone on here watching the Vike's last quarter?  Are Ponder's incompletes bad passes or are they drops?

Threw one high, good coverage on another, one he was running for his life and chucked it out of bounds.

Is St. Thomas really this good to only allow 7 points in the past 3 games or is the MIAC becoming less competitive?  I am hoping for a stellar game vs. Bethel this weekend to showcase the MIAC has strong teams and possibly deserves to have 2 represented in the playoffs.

When do the regional rankings come out?

Pat Coleman

The handbook this year says no regional rankings until Nov. 2.

If I could look at it objectively and not through purple colored glasses I would have to say that the points given up towards the end of the UWRF and Concordia game came against 2nd and 3rd team players, as did SJU's lone TD.

I'm not going to get all that excited about shutting out Hamline, but they did hold them to just 28 yards. -1 Rushing on 36 attempts. IMO their linebackers have a lot more gap discipline than last year and don't get suckered into crashing down the line, they're really adept and spreading the field sideways by staying home and allowing their d-line to push the line of scrimmage into the O-line's lap.

Also noteworthy was keeping Brumm, Maxwell and company out of the endzone against Auggie. Augsburg sustained some long drives, and I think UST knew they were going to get their yards, but the redzone play was exceptional and using the back of the endzone as another defender is something you can only do if you have great d-backs, which UST has.

Of course Bethel is a whole other animal when it comes to running the football. So, I'm very interested to see what if anything changes from last year's games.

I think it's simple. St. Thomas really is that good.
If the human brain were so simple that we could fully understand it...we would be so simple that we couldn't.
