I just got done watching Roll Tide/War Eagle on ESPN.
I must admit that I felt a little surly after that.

But, more importantly, it offered an interesting basis for comparison for how tame and cordial our Johnnie-Tommie rivalry is.

Thank God it is the way it is.

So what you're saying is I shouldn't have one my AFROTC UST friends borrow a C130 from the GFAFB and drop Spike 80DF over the "Pine Curtain." My bad. Roll Tommies.

Thanks, I was becoming a db by being the grammar cop here.

The foregoing discussion brings to mind the age old question I've always asked about a$$ho!e$. We can alter it to the following: Do db's know they're db's?

I'm of two minds in my conclusion.

1.) No. If they knew they were db's, they would try to stop being db's.
   or
2.) Yes. If you are a db, you really don't care that you are a db, because, after all, you are a db.

Ha.  Or 3, you're undecided as to which db justification makes you look less db-like, which is the ultimate db stance.  I gave you a +k for walking the extremely thin db fence.  :o

So, do we think that the Johnnies can goose-egg Hamline?  I'm going for the Monkeystompout this weekend.

I sure hope so, but based on the past few games, HU will drive down the field and score on their first possession.

A tradition unrivaled...

A round of vitamin k to all the good guys and gal.  You know who you are.
Typical John smoke fest as I've contended since I came upon this board. Happy smoking!

I'm beginning to think you meant it when you said you "could care less about karma."

For the record, 33% of the U$T posters today were graciously awarded +k.  Along with Mount Union, Carlton and Catholic U. graduates.

ROR,

I would be lying if I told you I wasn't devastated!  :'(

If Hamline has ever been up for a game against SJU, it's going to be this year.
After Augsburg got the Johnnies, everyone else in the MIAC is lining up to take their best shot because there is "blood in the water" so to speak.
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

Nation, to further prove I am smoking nothing, I hit you with +k.  And I need to correct my post from yesterday.  I bestowed +k on 60% of the Tomcats who posted yesterday.  The other 40%, and you know who you are, were hit with -k.  Which I do very rarely.

ESPN reports that Joe Pa will retire at the end of the season.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

SUMMIT!!!!!

beat me to it, Section105

very tragic. Not so much for that it pulled down JoePa and others (and there will be more) at PSU, but tragic for what happened to those victims. Even more tragic for how long it took for justice to begin to be served. By all accounts, JoePa is an admirable man; on this issue, he flunked the "morality test."  I cant help but wonder why the grad assistant who saw things happening and reported them to JoePa didnt simply beat the living tar out of Sandusky in that shower.
After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.

Or go to the police like a normal 28 year old man. I think the thing people are forgetting, is thus far, all we know is that JoePa had was second-hand information. He's not the police and he's certainly not the DA. If JoePa told the grad assistant to not go to the police and that it'd be handled "internally," then we've got a problem.

From what I've heard, the police were investigating...before the DA that was in charge of the investigation went missing.

Just a little pre-plug for a Q&A I did with the one and only Pat Coleman for TVFury, which I'll link to on Friday. Really fun one. We spent about 3,000 words talking about the grammar of St. Thomas grads, but also hit on the Mount-Whitewater rivalry, whether the Tommies could win it all, the 1936 Orange Bowl, ESPN's coverage of D3, "409," a Coleman-McMillan trivia challenge and a heck of a lot more.
