Legendary football coach values the game itself over attention and money

Developing....

Legendary coach sure has the same article written about him multiple times a year for a guy that loathes attention.

Had to do it.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all of the MIAC PP RUBES!

From CNN article dated 11/23/2011-

"Gagliardi, who has lead his St. John's Johnnies to more than 460 victories, says that's not the case with his players."

460 was nearly 3 years ago!

... lending credence to Bench's comment about the rinse and repeat nature of that article... ;)

Are you sure?  This game summary puts his wins at SJU at 460 also.

A Tommie potentially winning this award! Does this put SJU rubes on suicide watch?

Nah. He'd be very deserving. Now, in 35 years when it's changed to the Caruso Award, then we'll be depressed.

Happy Turkey Day to all.

Duff,
Have you had the Surly Darkness?  If not, I recommend it to anyone.  It's a darker beer with lots of flavor!

I got a bottle last year.  It is great if you like Russian Imperial Stouts (which I do).  That being said, I can't see myself buying it again.  $25 for a 750 mL bottle is way too steep for my wallet, although it gave me a nice buzz :)

In other beer news, I picked up a sixer of Fulton Sweet Child of Vine IPA the other day.  I've had it on tap, but this was the first time I have found bottles.

Fulton Brewery is founded and owned by a great group of Johnnies, two of whom were o-linemen for SJU.  Check them out!

Over the past 15 months, we've converted a 1950s warehouse into the only production brewery in Downtown Minneapolis. Now, we're thrilled to welcome Fulton fans to visit our new home! Stop by on Fridays from 3 - 7 and Saturdays from Noon - 4 for growler & merchandise sales, free samples, and a taste of the Fulton experience. Our taproom is currently under construction, and we plan to offer pint sales and tours beginning in March 2012.
