Things I've learned from this board:

1. SJU has the best attendance in the country, which means the Tommies Suck
2. UST is on the verge of replacing Boston College in the ACC
3. People east of Ohio are very sensitive about their football and get offended when us Minnesotans talk a little harmless smack  ;D
4. If you haven't been blown out by Mount Union or Whitewater multiple times, you're nobody
5. Glen Caruso will be the next coach of Minnesota Columbia South Dakota

Well St John Fisher is not waiting to play Mount Union they have played them in 2006, 2007 and 2008.  Lost all three but the Cards have gotten off the porch and ran with the "Big Dogs" already.

None of the current players would have played in the '06 or '07 games (barring some sort of medical redshirt), and the '08 game was to open the season.  I doubt there is going to be much carry over from the first game of a college career.

What you can expect to see from UST is an outstanding defense that has allowed 39 points allowed in their last 8 games, including games against St. John's, Bethel, and Monmouth (the nation's top scoring offense this season). They have a balanced offense and a great kick and punt returner.

One thing the Tommies have going against them is they haven't really played a great team in over a month, with Bethel being the last really challenging game.  It looked like they may have came out a little flat in the first half against Monmouth and turned the ball over several times.  If they can come out and click right away I think they should win and give the MIAC their 7th semi-finalist since 2000.

I am sure your IC grad coach will find out all he needs to know about the Cardinals....but rest assured your QB is looking at getting picked at least 3 times in his final game on Saterday

And, while i understand your lack of knowledge about Fisher- I dont understand the arrogance of some of the St. T Faithful.

Don't be concerned with the arrogance of the UST fans- they are "has-beens" or "never was"- their players, especially the "Big Three" on offenses QB Tracy, RB Tobin & WR Waldvogel have been part of a program that was 2-8 when they were high school Srs, and bought into the new coaching staff's philosophy & vision for the future. They are now living this dream & Waldvogel is a finalist for the Gagliardi Trophy.

The team has the physical tools but has been prone to stupid penalties throughout the season. Picking up a stupid roughing the passer call when pounding an opponent 63-7 during the regular season is one thing, but in a play-off game in December, it's another story.

Last year Bethel came in for the Regional Final game, with no kicker and no passing game to speak of and upset UST on their home turf. Can SJF do the same thing? I guess only time will tell, but it certainly is possible for the Cardinals to repeat recent play-off history but they have to play mistake free football in all aspects of the game.

Good luck to both teams. The reward for winning, is most likely, a trip to Perkins stadium and a chance to show what you've got against the best team in D3.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I can already tell you the result of the UST vs. SJF football game.  What might be an entertaining game is St. Thomas Academy vs. SJF.

Could you use a more obscure regional reference that nobody cares about?

That would be an accomplishment, considering my team has been on the sidelines for three weeks now.

Was the misspelling of the scholarship intentional to purvey irony?
