Yes, but the Carleton fan and Northwestern fan who are sporting their logos are fairly clearly advertising they are not Tommies fans.

Good thing I picked a handle that makes my allegiance easily discernable. One might think that a picture of a mustachioed sexually androgynous man would make me a Johnnie fan. Turns out I just like good music and Freddie Mercury's picture was in this website's list of default Jpegs.

I support the University of Lisa. And if anyone says that our school sucks, then like SagatagSam would say "it's on like donkeykong!"

Here's a nice interview with Fritz Waldvogel.  I think it's a sign of team cohesion when Glenn Caruso and the players stick to the same narrative.

I know I'm horrible at math, but how does this starting O-line from the Del Valley game average 289lbs?

By my math its 307.

LT     78     Dan Maloney  (6'3", 295)
LG      55     M. Amezquita  (6'4", 310)
C      62     Kevin Cooper  (6'1", 275)
RG      71     James Thomas  (6'2", 355)
RT      76     C. Balcerzak  (6'5", 300)

I had one of the starters wrong.  Forgive me they are even bigger.

Every time a MIAC team makes a run in the playoffs, an opponent eventually comes along with fans making the "ours is bigger" arguement ::).  We've seen this before, and it rarely shows up positively on the scoreboard.  If it's an eating contest and not a football game, we'd concede.

As was previously mentioned, big congratulations to Bethel's OC Greg Peterson on being recognized as the DIII Assistant Coach of the Year.  Bethel continues to be very blessed that no other school has come along to take Petey away.  He was a great two sport athlete for the Royals, and continues to be a tremendous servant to the institution.  Well deserved, Petey!  *salute* 8-)

This argument would never have come to surface if the size of St. John Fisher wasn't called into question.  Nobody came here saying we would steam roll St. Thomas with our size.

Here's a hint to people from other regions -- check the logos under people's names as a first clue as to who they might root for. :)

Ok, but how can I tell which brewerey DuffMan supports?   :D

Dude, UW-SP had a HUGE o-line in 2001.  One of the few times in my life I felt tiny.  I think they outweighed us by an anverage of 80 lbs a person up front.

A tradition unrivaled...

There are too many...I'd have to amend my signature line, and I am not sure if Pat has allowed enough space there, either!  :o

Duff, here's a batting practice pitch for you to hit out of the park...what was the final score of that UWSP game? ;D

I think the SJU affiliation implies Anheuser-Busch, makers of the connoisseur's choice—Natural Ice.  A few of my SJU friends often wax lyrical about the days of weekly adventures in the woods outside Collegeville.  All the giddy boys would load up their big trucks with Natural Ice "road beers" and cruise the back roads looking for CSB girls in their natural habitat.  The girls proved elusive, but the communion amongst men and a few dozen cans of Natural Ice always took the edge off.  Such memories likely shape one's preferences for a lifetime... :)

AO you are way off base pal. Your pride and confidence in your team and/or region are admirable, but they are clouding your ability to listen to reason. Reason in which many very dedicated and smart D3 fans feel is very close to reality. Just back up for a moment. Why should St. Thomas be looked at as that much better than Del Val? Or say a JHU football team that won their conference in the south and came into the playoffs undefeated with a Gagliardi Nominee at QB. The same thoughts can be applied to them; weak conference and/or schedule right? Yet SJF beat them on the road in the first round; that W must hold some water to a rational D3 fan. To dlip, St. Thomas is a better team than Johns Hopkins because overall dlip feels they have a more impressive body of work to be undefeated. It is very rational to think that St. Thomas is not a "ton" better than these teams though and your base that the east is "weak" is just does not make all that much sense. If St.Thomas homgonizes the Cardinals this weekend than dlip will give you some do credit...

Here's a hint to people from other regions -- check the logos under people's names as a first clue as to who they might root for. :)

Homogenization would be the correct term and in the spirit of eco-friendliness UST co-eds will disperse mostly bits around O'Shaughnessy field to assist in Sprin-Turf back-fill.
