I know I'm horrible at math, but how does this starting O-line from the Del Valley game average 289lbs?

By my math its 307.

LT     78     Dan Maloney  (6'3", 295)
LG      55     M. Amezquita  (6'4", 310)
C      62     Kevin Cooper  (6'1", 275)
RG      71     James Thomas  (6'2", 355) -- Um, please tell me thats a misprint  :o
RT      76     C. Balcerzak  (6'5", 300)

No, no misprint.  He's one huge bastard!
The views expressed in the above post do not represent the views of St. John Fisher College, their athletic department, their coaching staff or their players. I am an over zealous antagonist that does not have any current connection to the institution I attended.

Duff....you KNOW you can wear purple to the game.  And it will be the most righteous purple!   8-)

The only time you would catch me in purple at a UST game was if they were playing Mount, Whitewater, or Linfield.  ;D  I might have to bust out my Raider gear this weekend!

A tradition unrivaled...

Ok.  Sanity returns.  The previous chuckle was an aberration.  Go SJF!

(Does AO have two accounts?)

EDIT: As an afterthought, should someone point out to Mr. MIAC that the top MIAC position in the DC cocktail circuit is filled by a Johnnie?  Additionally, the United States ambassador to the Vatican is also a Johnnie.  Pillars of society and all that.

To be clear, all kidding aside (my sense of humor is rather dry), these are two outstanding pillars of society.  Don't let me stop you from cheering for UST.  I think your support this post-season would be good practice for the years to come.  From now on you could divide your loyalties by supporting SJU during the regular season and then shift to rallying behind UST in the playoffs each year. :)

Stop me if you've heard this one..... "The bigger they are, the harder they fall."

Can we get back to attendence?  I'd like to hear more.

James Thomas, anybody? anybody? Was an offensive lineman from, anybody, anbody, St. John Fisher.  James Thomas attempted to eat 13 chipotle burritos in one sitting and, anybody, anybody? Was he successful, anyone? He was successful; and he succeeded in becoming the fattest, slowest, D3 lineman imaginable.

Sounds like a plan.  That way you can save your Warhawk hat for next weekend IF UWW and the Tommies take care of business on Saturday, that is.   ;)    8-)

Miacmaniac, I would be interested in a seat by Fowler Pavilion this Saturday at Tommieland. Will there be tailgating prior to the game in the usual location?

Good? Or just effectively in the way? Could he be good much in the way that the mom from "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" would be good?

UST SPITS on attendance!

...but not before pointing out how much money the university made in its last capital campaign.

As a non-profit UST doesn't make money on capital campaigns.   It simply provides a vehicle (a campaign) through which individual donors can invest in the leaders of tomorrow.  Pointing out UST's fundraising successes is just a way of highlighting the degree to which generous donors promote excellence and support the flourishing of our society.

Attendance numbers are great and all, but if given the choice I'd take the $500 million to help build pillars of society.  Of course football can be part of the process (and it increasingly is at UST), but in my view it shouldn't necessarily take center stage.  However, at some other institutions this is clearly the case...at least it would seem so based on the attendance figures...

Really?  And I mean Really? (use Amy Poehler voice during her SNL years)!
