First Time poster here.....

I must say that reading this board over the last three years have really entertained me while at work.  The amount of postings over this week seems to have picked up and thought it would be fun to join in!!  So Hello Everyone! :)

PC:
You have done very well with the Monday morning podcast and a great job with D3football.com.  Thanks for your efforts!

Welcome aboard, 2115 Summit. Don't let anyone influence your opinion of Mr. MIAC. He came in a little aggressive, ruffled some feathers and was met with some hostility by some of the long time, resident experts on this board. For the record, I found nothing wrong with his entrance and enjoyed the s**t storm that ensued. While his opinions may typically contradict with what seems to be the majority (read John) opinion, nonetheless he brings a dynamic perspective that I have come to enjoy/appreciate.

Roll Tommies, Roll!

Get ready for all hell to break loose if you say anything mildly provocative, especially if it in any way can be construed as a slight against a MIAC team that has recently experienced an "off season."

If 6-4 is considered an "off-season", I am glad that U$T recently decided start a football program!

Don't listen to any of the $h** these Johnnie's are telling you.  The only way to enter this board is guns dlipping blazing.  You've already missed that golden opportunity, however, and I, for one, am ashamed.

Wildcard! YEEEEEEEAAHAAAAAAAW!

Whether this is the hardnosed RB 2115 Summit, or the 2115 Summit that had his staff put me back together after getting my head bashed in at practice every day, a hearty welcome and +K.

Welcome.  Just to let you know with "2115 Summit" you are indicating an affiliation with UST (which may or may not be the case).  Get ready for all hell to break loose if you say anything mildly provocative, especially if it in any way can be construed as a slight against a MIAC team that has recently experienced an "off season."  Also, you better present yourself as unsophisticated and dirt poor because any sign of success or social status will be responded to with references to "cake eaters" attending fancy cocktail parties. Just an FYI...

First, and most importantly, welcome to the board, Summit.

Second, I think Summit will be just fine because he chose not to establish himself as a bloviating, pseudo-intellectual elitist on his very first post. (by the way, +K to you for that, Summit)

Third, I have no sympathy for you, Mr. MIAC, when you came onto this board looking for a fight and then began weaving an endless tale of ignorant woe about it when you found one.

Fourth, Summit, if you're going to take advice from a Tommie on this board, I'd recommend USTBench. He's a great dude when he's not swindling your prized cow cup away from you at a tailgate party... ( ;) inside joke.)

Lastly, welcome to the board once again, Summit.

Sagatag,

I  work one block away from North Border Trophy, I propose making our own version of the "Holy Grail." The "Stiftungest/Cretin-Summit Traveling Cow Cup."  Winner gets to drink a post-game Hamm's out of it, in front of the loser making this face  :'(.

Shouldn't the loser be forced to drink Hamm's while the winner drinks something more palatable?

I made a dortmunder recently...if I had to choose between that and warm Hamm's, I'd go with warm Hamm's.

Duffman, suggestions?

Placing my pseudo-intellect aside, I think I'm actually starting to feel a bond with you guys (not to get too sensitive).   Nothing is personal.  Sometimes, when it's all mostly in jest, it's okay to be a target because the back and forth builds a perverse sense of esprit de corps.  It would be far less interesting if we all agreed or didn't try to stir the pot occasionally (or often when it comes to SJU).   Perhaps for me the best part is that I've met no one on this board in person, but I look forward to hearing from the personalities each day when logging on.  Not that I'll forgo an occasional fight...it wouldn't be in my nature...
Just hope that the first time you meet someone from this board, it isn't looking up at JJR  8-)

I don't get the dissatisfaction with Dave Lee. From hearing you guys complain early in the season I thought I was in for a long day the first time I was at UST this season but he calls the game just fine. Just another case of complaining about everything Tommie?

I listened to the majority of the game during my two hour drive home and felt as though every play by play call was made after the play had developed.  Really frustrating.  What he says isn't in much dispute, just the delayed nature of the call.

The quality of the call made by the Johnnie football broadcasters could be considered on par with any major college sport.  Great play by play by VOJ and substantive offerings from the color man BB.

Dave Lee is good at what he does in the morning show and has been heralded by local commentators and critics.  Just not my type of programming....

WHOA TURBO....

Pot meet Kettle, Kettle meet Pot...

A Union guy calling out the NESCAC for something like that is a bit ridiculous considering at the Union they serve Brie and Wine at their concession stands...
The views expressed in the above post do not represent the views of St. John Fisher College, their athletic department, their coaching staff or their players. I am an over zealous antagonist that does not have any current connection to the institution I attended.

Tufts squash maybe.

Would the people that complain about Dave Lee like to go back to listening to two freshmen Broadcasting Journalism majors "boom goes the dynamite" their way through a choppy webcast that freezes every 15 seconds?

I think we can all agree when it comes to webcasting games no one beats the Oles. But SJU/UST/ and Concordia do just fine on the radio. At least it's on the radio, no need to complain. Just tell me what happens, no need to be Paul Allen.
