Can we brag about having Vince Flynn...?  After all, he does right political suspense stories!  ;D

You most certainly can...I'm trying to convince my wife we should name our next son Mitch Rapp  8-)

Oz, you really do need to give him a try. I suggest waiting until you've got a some free time though. I started my first VF book at 8:30 pm and didn't stop until I'd finished it at 6 am the next morning. They are that addicting!

I've been told (by a Tommie Alum) that John Sanford,  (not his real name) is also a Tommie. He writes a series of books (Certain Prey, Mortal Prey, etc) one of which was just turned into a made for TV movie starring Mark Harmon as Lucas Davenport, a Police Bigwig, from Minneapolis. Very good reads.

Real name is John Camp.  Was a writer for the Pioneer Press before he hit it big with Lucas.  But, he's a grad of the University of Iowa.

I'm a big Second Amendment guy, but this Christmas I recommend avoiding Scotsdale...

Ah!  Too bad we got our Christmas cards done already!  Do you think I could get an 11-week old to hold a .357 Magnum? (In case there is any confusion, that was said in jest.)

A .357 is a little big, better to start with a .22

Can we brag about FSN hottie/former T-wolves extreme team member Natalie Kane?

Not that she's famous or anything...just, on tv and hot.

You need to post a pic when bringing up a topic like this.

Just so that I can be wrong again about Fisher, my prediction:

St. John Fisher 13
St. Thomas 24

Upstate

The past two weeks I've picked against Fisher...

I'll be doing it again this week...

St. Thomas- 28
St. John Fisher- 17

Hopefully I'm wrong just like the previous two weeks...

I dont predict....But for those Fisher faithful that week in and week out pick the other team over  Fisher, yes you 82 and upstate....continue to do so!
GO FISHER!

I'm going out on a limb here, I predict the team from the Catholic school wins.

A truly excellent name choice!!  (good luck getting her to agree)

OZ-- not only block off time, but Id suggest trying to read them in order of publication. While each one stands fine on its own, there are frequent mentions/allusions to incidents in previous books that are more clear (and thus more enjoyable) with being familar with them. That said, I started wtih "Memorial Day", was captivated like Hazzbeen,  and promptly  bought the whole series, and only later found out Vince is a Tommie (who played pre-Roney).

Hazz & others-- which is your favorite Flynn book?  mine is "American Assassin". I didn't set it down till I was finished.
