I see that the UST boys are taking a conservative approach to smack talk with the UWW crowd. While probably wise, this is unfortunate for us observers. The UWWer's don't take well to uppity smack talkers and can easily be baited into flametastic posting.

And think how exiting it will be Tommies, to survive a week of withering dismissal from your betters across the eastern border (Ha! How often does that sentence get written?) and then to walk away from the Perk winners? Come on, bait them.

I would love to, but what the hell would we say?

"Hey champions, nice many championships. Idiots."

You could take the Brett Favre route and say that you're surprised it took them until their third Stagg Bowl to win a championship.

Saturday I'm off to the land of cheese, poorly done arm and back tattoos, and overweight beer gut people wearing skimpy clothes. A place where more women have mustaches than the men do. Yes I speak of the land where if you don't drink at age 12 there's something wrong with you. A place where they go "kaboom" to help them cope with their miserable lives. Where I'm I going? I am going to Wisconsin.

Does that work for a start?

Are any of the Tommie faithful making the trip to UWW? Are there any chartered buses going for parents & fans?

Please take the time to think about going (seriously) you can not take for granted a trip to the national semi-finals or,if you're fortunate, the national championship. You need to take advantage of these experiences because you never know when they will come around again.

Here is a sneak peek at the Warhawks and Perkins Stadium.

In 2002 the Warhawks played two non-conference games on the road, those games were against Mount Union and St. John's. The Warhawks lost both of those games, but used the experience to see what they needed to do to be national contenders. The experience worked out well, as they are 2009 & 2010 D3 National Champions.

Good luck to both squads it should be a good game.

My brother Sister and I will be heading down. We all three have to work Friday and my brother will be driving up from Sioux Falls Friday night. He is not very excited about the 20+ hours he will be putting in this weekend, but like you said, He might never have this chance again.
I remember once in 1997 my Dad brought my brother and his friends to the Tommie - Johnnie game at the metrodome. The Tommies won. >:( and I missed it. :-[ I remember deciding not to go....but instead went to hang out at Camp Snoopy with friends. I figured surely it won't take us another 13 games played before we beat them again....... duhtadaduh..... It actually did! :'( I have been so pissed every fall up until last year when finally the disappointment ended. (Thanks to Bench) :) I told my brother this week. Remember the mistake I made in 1997? You won't be happy if you repeat it. You will regret it!
Anyways,...We are all thankful the game was pushed back to 2:30pm central time. Now we don't have to leave the cities at 6am. Right now just hoping for a good competitive game.

I believe someone mentioned the injury to the SJF player... This might be how it happened. No Thanks.

Good golly, that is desperately ugly. Wow. I wish him well on the long rehab. Ouch.

Don't forget today is Green Bay Packer stock day! $250 gets you a piece of paper that states you are part owner of the Green Bay Packers (only public owned team). Upgrades are needed for 7,000 seats, new sound system and entrances.

SUMMIT!!!!!

congrats to Waldvogel on being named one of the 4 finalists for the Gagliardi Award. All four are most deserving

Congrats indeed. An honor just be nominated and to be a finalist. There were some really stellar candidates this year, but these 4 stood out to me from the 10 semi-finalists. You've got the most prolific receiver in NCAA history, the most prolific passer, Mr. score in about every way imaginable and the star QB of the defending champs. Pretty tough to argue against any of these guys bringing home the award.

Does anyone know if the Brainerd area gets the CW out of the Twin Cities? And if so, a friendly bar where they'll turn the game on?

I'd doubt it. I'm pretty sure there are only certain cable packages in the St. Cloud area that can get it. So, unless you can find a place with a rather fancy cable TV package, I think you're going to be out of luck as far north as Brainerd.
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

Bench,

It is my understanding that the game is on ESPN3.com, so you can watch it on your computer or iPad anywhere you can get an internet connection. Some have mentioned running a connection from their laptop to a bigger screen TV. This may be a better option for you.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Check on-line. I know at my parents cabin on Leech Lake, an hour further north they have an extensive cable package.

Bench,
I was able to watch all the live stuff on ESPN3 on my phone after signing in with my Comcast ID. They had all kinds of cable companies available on a pull down. If you can get this, it will probably depend on the signal. Worked great over wi-fi in the mancave. I'll probably need it because mrs. repete will likely be dragging me to a friend kid's Christmas play close to game time. (I would not stand for that if a certain team in red was involved, but it will cause less grief when I head down to Salem a week later.)

Thanks for the help guys.

I'll probably fiddle with my Droid until I get it figured out. I just don't want to look at my cell phone bill in a month and realize I could have flown my Gulf Stream...er, Ford Ranger, to Whitewater and back to Brainerd for the same price.

I know what you mean. I'm saving up all of my equity for something that might not happen.
