I like the matte finish...saw that on a couple of other teams this year as well.  Although, like you said, I'd still take a winning team and a glossy helmet first.

I prefer shiny over matte.  Matte has too much of the anti-hero vibe to it for me.  If you're a gangster or a badass, then I think your play on the field will show it better than the uniform.

Decisions, or lack thereof, concerning the uniform are another reason that SJU has been so lucky to have Gagliardi leading the program all these years.  Of all the decisions that could affect on-field performance or off-field character, uniform design is not on the list.  So the decision doesn't get made.

These hold a good balance of classic and modern. For the U of M, I'd take these over the white helmets for sure, and those glittery ones were just plain embarrassing. I would hope d3 schools don't have enough money in the programs to sport more than the traditional home and away looks.

Very nice...now Kill just has to get the product playing in those unis to match the quality. Personally, if he can stay healthy I think they start making steady improvement. Probably always middle tier, but improvement none the less.

Merry Christmas and the best for the New Year!!! Time to start planning for the weekend of Feb. 17, 2012. Two great options available for those of you who enjoy drinking beer outside in the snow. The 33rd Annual International EelPout Festival in Walker is a great event to attend, especially since the Bikini Ice Fishing team will be present. The other event is the BockFest at the Schell's Brewery in New Ulm on Saturday, Feb. 18. Nothing like having a poker from a fire pit stuck in your glass of beer to warm it up.
