Haters Gonna Hate ;)

I think both SJU and UST should do their own versions of this video.

UST: Caruso, in golden one piece swimsuit/leotard thingy with purple cape billowing in the wind, walks down Summit Ave while the rat pack and benedictine monks verbally assault him.

SJU: Gags, wearing skin tight black patent leather (maybe with a big maroon parka over the top if its chilly, i.e. below 75ยบ) stands at midfield of Clemens doing the Touchdown Jesus pose, while he's circled by a white lamborghini with trust fund babies clad in purple hanging out the window throwing money clips at him.

Seriously, I'm thinking viral video potential for either option here. Maybe even a potential fundraising video for the development/advancement offices at each school  ;)

NB: None of this will remotely make any sense if you don't first watch Sections disturbing youtube video first

Also: Caruso must be sure to have some chest hair billowing out the top of his golden leotard and Gags should be wearing black stiletto books that go up to his knees, mickey mouse ears optional.

You're in a groove, Hazz.  Now expand your horizons to some other MIAC schools ... 8-)

BigBlue grabs a 21-14 halftime lead but has no answer to the Rise in the second half. :P

Ha. We'll have to take your word for it, tmerton. I'll have to send that page to google translate and see what comes out.

EDIT: Thanks to babelfish we have the translation. It makes for some entertaining reading with the oddity of a number of phrases. What's Jr's number?  They don't use his proper name so I'm guessing he may be the one they call "Tall tree."

Hey, we're not even supposed to dance at Bethel, much less watch videos of people dancing. I was already expanding my horizons!  ;D

98.  He said they only threw 2 passes to TEs and apparently he didn't catch either one of them - but claimed he had a solid game on special teams.  Now if anyone can help him get a job in or around Tokyo (the team practices in Ciba), let us know.  He's currently living and working 3 hours south of Tokyo and the commute is killing him.   8-)

Aw, c'mon, I understand the no dancing edict was lifted years ago - besides, I'm only asking your pen to take another twist.  Don't the Oles and the other Lutherans in St. Peter deserve some attention?

One more win and the Tommies are in the WS!

St. Thomas ousts No. 1 Marietta in Division III baseball

Dylan Thomas pitched a complete game, leading St. Thomas to a 3-1 victory over defending national champion and No. 1-ranked Marietta on Sunday night in the NCAA Division III World Series in Appleton, Wis.

The No. 4-ranked Tommies (40-8) will play Wheaton of Massachusetts at 4:30 p.m. Monday in the winners' bracket of the eight-team, double-elimination tournament.

Thomas (8-2) threw 149 pitches in his longest career outing, and he struck out two batters with the bases loaded in the ninth inning. It was his eighth victory in a row and lowered his ERA to 2.25.

The Tommies, who had 10 hits, took a 2-0 lead in the third inning when Tim Kuzniar and Charles Bruchu had RBI hits.

uh,....they ARE in the World Series, its been going on since Friday...that was a 2nd round game. Marietta is not ousted merely beaten...Strib cant get anything right. At this point UST & Wheaton of MA are the last 2 unbeatens, with Marietta and Cortland St alive with 1 loss each. But UST is assured no lower than a 4th place finish, and is hoping to add a 3rd NCAA title... it it was an utterly masterful performance by Dylan Thomas to be sure!

EDIT--- UST lost to Wheaton and will play Cortland Tuesday while Wheaton takes on Marietta. UST simply needs to win 3 more :)
After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.

Apologies for not remembering who exactly it was with, but in the fall I had some back and forth with a John backer about a Loyola Academy (suburban Chicago) attending UST and UST's recruiting efforts in the CCL & ESCC. Out of respect for his privacy, at the time I was not interested in referencing specifically who I was referring to, but now that it is official...it was Dowdle. I've seen him make a number of outstanding plays on the field over the past couple of seasons and I know he is a great fit for the Tommie program. Well done Tom staff (you're getting a gem) and best of luck, Charlie!

I hear that Dowdle is a very good receiver.  There's another player coming from Loyola Academy named Eric Bielinski. Have you heard anything about him?

Yeah, they did. Dancing is alive and well at Bethel.

The problem is the other MIAC teams just don't have anyone nearly as colorful as Caruso and Gags.

Now, if Meidt were still at Olaf, we'd have some great material. He'd be doing the video, but riding a war horse (i.e. shetland pony) around Northfield, dressed up in a leotard that looked like a Napoleon uniform (complete with plumy hat), shooting all the Carleton haters with a bb gun pistol and waving a plastic sabre. At some point the horse would probably buck him off though  8-)

I guess the Big Foot hunter at Hamline is just too easy of a target for your next music video ::)
