Anybody listen to Jeff Dubay interview on 'CCO w/ Chad Hartman this afternoon.  Very compelling stuff.

No, what's up? Dubay turn his life around? From a guy going from nothing to nearly having it all to F-ing it up BIG Time.

I think the jury is still out.  He seems to being doing ok...only time will tell.  Here's the link to the interview.

Drugs...  damn shame.  Every time I hear about someone throwing it all away over drugs I say, "damn shame."  I sure hope I never have to say that about someone close to me.

I stopped listening to KFAN regularly when Dubay got busted and fired. I thought he was the best personality on that station and he knows his hockey. Hope he stays sober and gets back on the air somewhere.

Boys of Fall

Just saw the first 2012 D3 national rankings.  Lindy's has UST #4, SJU #14, and Bethel #15.  Anybody surprised at these?

No -- I would pay Lindy's no heed. :)

Sadly, one of the big stories this week is the announcement that Mick Jagger has slept with over 4000 and one of those was David Bowie.  :P

4000?  I think claims of that sort by these guys are a load of crap. Say two new people a week, take off two weeks a year for Christmas, Easter, rehab, penicillin, etc, and that would still take 40 years.  There's a lot of ex-servicemen hanging around these boards.  We know Mick's a liar.

And I like the Ziggy Stardust cultural credibility. "Hey, I may be a lying, morally vapid, helpless, hopeless, narcissist, but I'm still hip with the gay thing. So, you know, it's all ok."

Not to carry this hypothetical too far but let me ask -- why only two new people a week in his youth while on tour?

In comparison to Wilt Chamberlain's 20,000 claim, it seems mild.  Being a young rocker, as Pat Said, "in his prime" I would have no problem believing he was above the 2 per week mark.

4 new people a week for 20 years would do it. He spent some time married, right, that slows it down for a week or two.

20 years?  Even chocolate starts to taste bad when you have it too frequently.

Which explains David Bowie.

Seeing that Mick was a rock star in the 70's I would be willing to bet there were nights when he had multiple partners.

Leave it to the highly educated MIAC folks to break this down into numbers.  8-)

I believe the 4000. Wilt at 20,000, well, the name wilt says it all. No way. Even crazy math doesn't make that work.

But Mick's number I think you can back into (see Bowie) pretty easily.  :D

SUMMIT!!!!!

Wilt's 20,000 is impossible, no matter how you try to make the math work (that would require 1.5 new people per day every day from his 13th birthday till he died). Mick's 4,000 almost seems low, given who he is....I can imagine him in his younger days doing groups of groupies 4-5 nights a week if the drugs so moved him. Mick with Bowie is creepy, like Lennon with Elton John (what is with these Brits?)

I'm a little more surprised that SJU is ranked #14 ahead of Bethel.  Aside from Fischer, who do they have coming back?   ::)

Pat was commenting on SJU when he said pay Lindy's no heed.  I was twisting his meaning with a little old' fashioned anti-Tommie bigotry.
