UW-Stout is installing a new scoreboard this summer with video. That should also make Menomonie High School one of the few with instant replay.  ;)

Do the D3 schools w/ video boards actually show instant replays during the games?  I'm guessing the officials wouldn't care much for that.

We could have used it in 2008 during the Tommie-Johnnie game when Wartman clearly crossed the goaline   ;)

After his knee hit the ground.  I was on the goal line.

I'm looking at the picture right now ROR. Going to have to disagree with you that one. Plus, a goal line view looks to be a horrible angle, at least worse than the back of the endzone.

So who currently has the largest video scoreboard until UST builds theirs?

Typical male, always worried about who has the biggest one! ;) 8-)

When I think about the video scoreboard, it makes me think of how many webcasts I have watch over the years (obviously not Johnnie home games) where the camera does a great job of catching the action 5 yards behind the play or with such a wide angle that I can see 1/2 of the field but not what actually happened. Like I need to see a replay of that! :P

coming soon...  DIII's largest stadium video board:
http://www.stthomas.edu/bulletin/2012/07/19/construction-starts-next-week-on-video-scoreboard-for-oshaughnessy-stadium/

Anybody have any idea what the cost is of one of these things?  I'm told that UST doesn't have enough housing for their freshman class....good thing they're getting a shiny new video board.  Maybe they can house students in tent cities on the football or baseball field?  At least they'll have a giant TV to watch.  ;D

Maybe you could help those poor college students out by making a small donation to the Opening Doors Campaign...only $26 million away from accomplishing our goal!

Not the best video...but I'd say he was in...didn't see any knee going down.

Ok, got the mail today and was shocked to see a letter from Carleton addressed to my son, a sophomore in high school. My son attended Notre Dame Football camp and a coach from Carleton was there, apparently, and they sent a letter asking him to come visit. What the F*** is SJU doing? Hello, no wonder SJU is not getting the players-maybe I will go with my son and check out Carleton-maybe they will get a Jumbo Tron.  :)

BTW; UWWs video scoreboard is kinda cool. But what would SJU show as they have no video production?

Sorry to say....they don't have a clue.

Shameless Dad post....My 12 year old threw lights out in her league softball semi and final the past two nights...zero runs!!! Amazing how a dad can get totally caught up in it.  As a former fastpitch player I feel I can attest...she's gettin' it.  It's a great game!

I agree Zip- you should go & then report back to the coaching staff/recruiters at SJU as to why a suburban Chicago kid from a Catholic High School is getting attention from Carleton and not SJU? You've said it dozens of times before that the league you play in is ripe for picking, but no one asks.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!
