Hopefully everyone saw the Sports Illustrated on college football last week. Included in the magazine was SI's football menu. Under the menu for starters was the following: St. John's (Minn.). Cozy 10,000-seat Clements [should be Clemens] Stadium fills with people and the smell of the Johnnie Bread baked by the Benedictine monks who run the place when winningest program in Division III (578-232-24) takes the field. :)

I've never seen that article in SI before. SUPER interesting.  ::)

Envy is one of the Seven Deadly Sins.   8-)

So is pride.

So is cutting of someone's head and putting it in a box.  I think that was the lesson of the movie.

If you watch that scene really close, there's like a split second they show an image of Gwenneth Paltrow's face. Pretty creepy. Then she married the lead singer of Coldplay and named her kid "Apple." Even creepier.

I see TDT is now making music videos: http://www.92kqrs.com/article.asp?id=2516207&SPID=6546
Got a good chuckle out of that one! He did sound good on the guitar at the end.

How do creeps like this get into coaching?
After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.

Maniac, you could ask the same question about literally every profession there is in the world. It's not like this is unique among coaches, nor is the profession immune from the same troubles as everywhere else.

You knew it'd be something bad from the time he was escorted off the field, right in the middle of practice. Nothing was revealed at the time but those are pretty extraordinary circumstances.

Mankato State (sorry, that's what I grew up calling them) also announced the hiring of a new women's basketball coach today. Talk about bad timing for that poor coach. Not sure that will get much attention in the coming days.

There is "putting yourself out there" and there is "I made a music video to show you how much I care for you", which is creepy.
I really think that having a older sibling to buy beer for him would have made this whole project out of the question. I mean an older brother, and especially an older sister, would have told him he's an idiot and to have another brew  :-[
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I wonder if child pornographers ever get together and say, "Who let the weirdo that likes adults into the chat room?"

My question was more rhetorical, just expressing my revulsion with the situation. I realize that no profession is immune to this kind of thing, but there is also no question these types of sickos tend to gravitate to professions that give them access to pontential prey (teaching, coaching, youth counseling, ministry) which is logical. For the same reason that you're moe likely to see people fishing in lakes rather than bathtubs.  You dont hear of many (any?) pedophile/child abusers/child pornographers in fields like mortuary sciences or geriatric care.

I too grew up calling them Mankato State and always will. Minnesota State-Mankato is ridiculous to say or type. But it would be kind of cool to see them & St. Cloud wear throwback jerseys honoring the days when they known as Mankato Teacher's College and St. Cloud Teacher's College.

Is it Sept 1 yet???????

And, speaking of recruiting, you have to wonder how a week at Camp Ripley works for the Pipers...

Mankato and Moorhead should battle it out for the right to be the lone user of the 'Minnesota State" moniker.  After this scandal for Mankato, a rebranding as the Screamin' Eagles might be in order.
