WHAT A GAME!!!  Hawthorn (#2) just beat Sydney (#1) in Sydney by 7 points in the brutal, hard-nosed game of the year. We go to top of the standings with one round to play in the regular season. Next Friday night we play #5 West Coast. Should be a cracking finale.

I see the Augsburg buses have arrived here in Menomonie for the noon scrimmage with my Blue Devils. Hopefully they get their work in before the thunderstorms get here.  :P

Queue tmerton... Ready weapons... FIRE!

No, I don't like the Shamrock Series unis either - esp. the helmets.  Just another sign of the apocalypse.

No one noticed that SJU has switched to Adidas?

You MIAC guys already know this (unless this guy is new) but the Augsburg QB that played with the 1st team today has got some serious quicks. He is fun to watch. No programs and the QB's had red vests on so I'm not sure of his name.
Nice contingent of Augsburg fans/parents/girlfriends etc.came over for the scrimmage.

Only one week left until kickoff so this is the last time I mention Hawthorn unless they make it to the Grand Final in six or seven weeks. This is the final five minutes of last night's game at the Sydney Cricket Ground (where a third of the stands seem to been under constuction all season).  It's about as intense a stretch of footy that you'll find outside of the Grand Final.

BDB I believe that would be a new QB from Auggie.
If memory serves me right, the Johnnie Killer a.k.a. Marcus Brumm graduated this past spring.
Auggie always seems to find athletes and their current staff seems to be doing a better job with the players they have than the previous staff. IMHO
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Nice win for the Hawks; I figured their percentage would give them the nod over anyone they ended up tied with. They need to take care of the Eagles next week, though, since I don't see Adelaide losing to the Suns. Best of luck in the Finals.
