Good Luck to the Tommies, and here's hoping our Johnnies have a rebirth.

Just finished watching the California Inland Section Final. Vista Murrietta got beat 30 - 28, after two unsuccessful 2 point conversion attempts on thier last two scores. Let's hope that the VM pipeline continues. They have some VERY good players.

I'm pulling for the Ho's!  :P

They are playing great right now. Aside from a missed assignment of 4th and 1 that went for a long TD their D is playing big. Hobart needs to keep their head in it and not panic. The last two deep throws/picks are putting them in a deep hole.

O'Connell is a little off today, but outside of that and a big run by Webb, UST is rolling.

These gimic plays (flee flicker) are not the way Hobart needs to try to get back into this thing.

USTBench

I'm very suprised they don't rely on Webb more. He doesn't get the tough yards, but he's very explosive.

UST is an excellent football team and well the east...the east simply does not deserve to be taken seriously past the second round period until an eastern team beats somone very very good...more than once. Dlip is very sad but really respects the shiznit out of UST.. He will be rooting for the Tommies in the next round if things continue this way...and they will.

I think O'Connell likes Ferazzo  ;)

Well, Misciewicz has dropped two probable TDs. Tough catches sure, but should have had them. Of course I can't fathom how the naked play action to either Marks or Allen is open, AGAIN. But, if you run it to perfection I guess it's possible.

Not sure about that PI call in the endzone against Hobart. Regardless, Tom's take advantage and score. They are a rollin' right now.

First half synopsis:

Hobart struggling to run, protect the QB on deep drops and protect the ball.

UST making big plays and keeping Hobart one dimensional, Braddock Ferfazzo having big games, balanced offense and taking advantage of every Hobart mistake. Basically playing like they've been there before...because they have.

Very true. And the wink wasn't to insinuate anything negative. Ferrazzo is just making some clutch plays right now when they are in 3rd and long situations.

In other D3 news: Mount is rolling, no surprise there. But UMHB is down 17 - 12 at the half against Wesley. That's an interesting development...

Missed most of the 1st half due to my 7 year old daughters b-ball game...UGH! I did see the PI on Hobart just before the end of the half and thought it was a TERRIBLE call too.

Control the ball in the 2nd half and stay healthy! Roll Tommies, Roll!

This Hobart D is just gassed. The 3 and outs for their O and these long Tommie drives are just killing them on the LOS and in tackling right now.

DoubleO

Did the Tommie o-line look this impressive in the 1st half?

Not this dominant. What you're seeing is a product of a good Hobart front 7 that's been on the field all game long. They are just totally gassed from the Hobart O's inability to string together a drive and get them a rest.
