So next question.....now that SJU has  . . . . . only if you are prone to pondering your belly button.

The much more interesting question is what will Caruso say when he runs into Ramler and/or Dumonceaux in all those metro area high schools he has basically owned for the past several years.  I would love to be there for those awkward meetings.

"Have you seen my wiener?"

More like "You are cracking my balls man"

I swear Caruso and this guy are related.

Where did Ramler go to high school?

Wasn't he a southern metro guy... Shakopee, maybe?
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

He's a Chaska Hawk.

I'm sure JohnnieRed is feeling pretty good about the hire.

What I really want to know, though, is where does Jim "The Shorts Guy" Platten fit in?
Platten is a fixture- I'm sure his role remains nearly identical to what it's been the past 10 yrs.
**He may be given additional duties of scouting some metro area high school teams as well as Saturday duties  8-)

Ah, yes, Chaska, that's it. I was on the wrong side of the Minnesota River.

Boots on the ground recruiting + utilizing the kids on the current roster will be vital to a failrly quick turn around.
Who will be recruiting?
Gary
Kurt
Damien
Charlie W. (?)
Jerry & Brandon still have their head coaching jobs- so I wouldn't expect them to recruit football
Anyone else?

Woohoo!  Three an a half hours until two weeks of vacation on the sunny beaches and golf courses of Queensland. I can't concentrate on doing my job to save myself. I haven't been this distracted when I shouldn't be since the last day of my junior year in high school. This is a desperately needed and well deserved break after a very big year.

He should say: "Glad to see you guys finally here. I've had my pick. Take the rest and make them into a respectable ball club. Y'all need to get back into the top 25 if my wins against ranked opponent numbers are ever going to improve."

Enjoy the vacation Oz- talk to you in a couple weeks.
You better not be on MIACPP while on vacation or you may be sleeping on the sofa when you get back home! ::)

I did not comment on Gary's hiring for several reasons, foremost of which was the final cards had yet to be played.  The announcement today says volumes about adminsitration support, or as Gary stated "The pieces have been put in place by our administration, now it is our job to move forward and get the job done on the field."  I trust that this is Gary's staff and it says a lot about his character!  I also trust they will be 100% aligned on focused on the objectives at hand.

I will say one last thing, UST recruiting staff has had its way in metro area high schools of late and that ends with Ramler and Dumonceaux!  This will be fun to watch.

You act as if the SJU just gave up recruiting.

How many of the assistant coaches are full time and not coaching any other sports?

Fasching, Ramler, and Jimmy G are full-time football.  Dumonceaux is nearly full-time, coaching the throwers on the T&F team in the spring.

Thanks Duff. How many full time assistants were there under Gags?
