I'm cranking The Best of Warrant on my headphones on the way to work this morning. I forgot how many good rockin' glam rock tunes they had. Good times.  I reckon it's a human impossibility for anyone who was listening to tunes in the late 80's/early 90's to play Cherry Pie cranked up and not start banging their head to the beat.

As I got out of my car at work yesterday I heard 38 Special (Caught Up In You) blaring from a black Hyundai SUV...seriously this guy had it cranked.  His windows were up and I could hear the music and vocals clear as if his windows were open.  I thought it very strange that a high school student would be listening to something from the 80's and cranking it.  Turned out it was one of our ag 50 something English teachers.  Gave me a good laugh.

On a site I visit all the time I got this ad. Holy crap.  :P

Not bad....from the shoulders down at least.  I guess that's one reason dimmer switches were invented.

Hey Pat Coleman,

Congrats on being recognized for your excellent coverage of all things DIII.

That said, how old are you ,really?  According to the blurb about the awards, you have covered DIII sports for 30 years!!!!

You must be grooming and mentoring an understudy.   I wonder what the life expectancy of an online sports authority is?  More than pro running backs I guess.

Again congratulation and thanks for your dedication.

Grboob

Indeed, as noted, I have only been doing this website for 15 years. I have been following Division III for about 20 and indeed, I am recently turned 40.

I'm trying to keep my number of carries in the regular season lower so I can go deep in the playoffs every year, let's put it that way. :)

The Johnnies open the NCAA hockey championships at UW-EC, the galaxy's second most wretched hive of scum and villainy.

Oz, while your synopsis of the Blue Devils arch rivals is fairly accurate, I will have to say that their pucksters this year are awfully damn good. The J's will have their hands full at Hobb's. And then the winner is off to St. Norbert's, not an easy path.

Anybody happen to see that Hopkins own Terrel Sinkfield was clocked at 4.19 in the 40? Anybody believe it?
