Hopefully many of you have received the special edition of the Saint John's Magazine on coach Gagliardi. A very great read and so much history about John. Nice articles by Fr. Wilfred Theisen, Austin Murphy and Mark Dienhart.

It was impressive.  I haven't read too much in it yet, but it looked great in my flip-through.  I've just got to make sure the Mrs. doesn't toss it in the recycling bin!

A tradition unrivaled...

The Johnnies open the NCAA hockey championships at UW-EC, the galaxy's second most wretched hive of scum and villainy.

The second most wretched hive of scum and villainy has sent their pucksters to the Frozen Four. The Johnnies gave EC as good of a game on the road as the defending national champs St. Norbert's did in their home rink.

Good for them.  That's great.  About time those private school snobs got knocked off.   ;)

I must say, a lot of D1 transfer and Junior A guys on that team.    I really hate that such a high percentage of kids these days have to play a year or two Junior A hockey before they can play at the collegiate level, even D3.  A good representation from this side of the St. Croix/Mississippi rivers as well.

And one would certainly think that Germans, rather than Japanese, would have the size for the NFL, and I would agree with that.)

Don't forget about those Sumo boys!  :o

And the Brighton Golf Club funnies just keep coming.  The old boys are having a hell of a time these last couple months lighting up the women members.

Wife's Diary:

Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a nice restaurant for dinner. I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but he made no comment on it. Conversation wasn't flowing, so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk. He agreed, but he didn't say much.  I asked him what was wrong; He said, "Nothing." I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset. He said he wasn't upset, that it had nothing to do with me, and not to worry about it.

On the way home, I told him that I loved him. He smiled slightly, and kept driving.  I can't explain his behaviour I don't know why he didn't say, "I love you, too." When we got home, I felt as if I had lost him completely, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there quietly and watched TV.
He continued to seem distant and absent. Finally, with silence all around us, I decided to go to bed. About 15 minutes later, he came to bed. But I still felt that he was distracted and his thoughts were somewhere else. He fell asleep -- I cried.

I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else. My life is a disaster.

Husband's Diary:

Boat wouldn't start, can't figure it out.

Might make it at nose tackle, but doubt they have the stamina.  Not that it hasn't at least been discussed - http://www.quora.com/NFL/How-effective-would-sumo-wrestlers-be-as-NFL-linemen

The cup would keep falling out and a helmet would never fit over that bun. Just wouldn't work.

Got my copy of the 'Gagliardi Special Edition'.  Great :)
Who can name the players with John on top of page 1?
I'm pretty sure the big guy is Dick Coy & I could guess at a couple of others.  ;)

New to the board... New to the MIAC... Nephew is a soon to be Cobber...After reading through earlier posts I've noticed a SJU and UST presence pretty heavily. Where's the love from the other MIAC schools???

Whats the outlook for next season... Spring Conditioning is coming up and next year will be here before we know it. Any predictions????

In the words of Axl, "Welcome to the Jungle." Nice handle, by the way.

There are a few other Cobbers who are regular contributors. I'll let those more knowledgeable than I to add to that.
