Got to give a shout out to my friend Mitch Kieffer, former Tommie strong safety.  Mitch was on national TV today with all of the Prince Harry stuff going on.  Mitch is a Captain in the in Air Force.  He suffered from severe spine and brain injuries after an IED attack two years ago in Iraq.  He will be attending the Warrior Games in Colorado Springs.  Check out the link below.

Vegas,

Instead of just posting a few lines about each kid just type "(Their name) hudl" into Google and you should find their video that you can post along with their bios.

WCCO did a nice piece on UST's incoming football class.

How much did U$T pay for that?

I think  The Evil Neighbor is trying anything they can to sell advertising to programming that attracts 1,000 listener & half of them are shut-ins who can't get the Lark motorized chair over to the window sill to change the station on their "transistor radio"  :o
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Hilarious. And they are still hoping and waiting for the "Cannon Mess" to come back on.

Vegas-can you post a link to Goodwin and the Tribune's all state team. I can only find Rushin from Loyola on the defensive all state team.
Thanks

Round 7 just finished in the Afl season and Hawthorn made it through the toughest schedule with a 6-1 record, their only loss being to Geelong (again).  The Hawks played the other 7 teams from last year's playoffs and finished off with Sydney last night in a thrashing victory.

So, we're looking good but remain unable to beat Geelong by finding the most creative way to lose in every contest. If we can take Geelong then this will be a good season regardless of the result.

Do I remember correctly that his son has a bit of a temper?

I've heard something similar along those lines, temper or ego. I heard it came out a bit in at least one of the interview settings over the last couple of years.

Then again, not every successful coach has the demeanor of Tom Osborne. For ever Osborne there's a Woody Hayes. I'm guessing as long as he keeps winning, Mount is ok with the personality. Provided he doesn't punch any opposing players (or coaches  ;)) ala Hayes. Maybe Caruso will be better behaved next time he meets the Mount HC at midfield  8-) ;)

Ok, thanks. I was looking at coaches all state team broken down by class and didn't see his name.

A got two birdies on the weekend, this was the first:

Two of my friends watched this bird land on my bag while I was hitting a 3-wood up a par five (long, straight shot, by the way, just short of the green).  I turn around and put my club back in.  As we're walking up to the green they're wondering where the bird went because they didn't see it fly off.  Turns out I stabbed the poor thing right into my bag...

It must have landed on my bad and decided that was good place to die because I had to put the club cover back on before I put the 3-wood back and it didn't fly away.  My mates were still amazed that I didn't notice this bird sitting there.  I was still high on a nice fairway wood and didn't notice the world around me - at least that's what I'm saying.

So what you're saying is that you made the putt?
Years of honing your craft on the up & down at Pokegema Golf Course finally pay on .....half a world away.  8-)

Unfortunately, I didn't take up golf until I was nearly 30 and I've only golfed Pokegama once on a visit back home.  It's a shame because I sure like the game. Maybe I make up in enthusiasm what I lack in the advantage of a skill learned at a young age.
