I just had a vision of Snoop Dawg and Mr. MIAC cruising around in a yacht lighting their Cuban cigars with flaming hundred dollar bills.

Can't do this at U$T....bag a deer in the morning...football in the afternoon.  And if you don't bag one in the morning nab one before going home.

Awesome, Faunch.

Deer used to be a big problem at Clemens Stadium prior to the stadium-encircling fence and addition of SprinTurf.  One of the grounds crew duties was deer poop removal prior to games.   :D

to be honest there are a hell of a lot of deer here in saint paul.  i had a doe in my back yard a couple summers ago and i live about 3 blocks west of the highland park golf course.  a couple weeks ago my daughter and i saw a doe and two fawns on the golf course (about 100 yards from snelling ave and highland parkway).  lots of food available in the city and enough cover for them to survive.

When is reporting day for the MIAC camps?

The 2013 SJU team reports to Collegeville on Tuesday, Aug. 13, with the first practice scheduled for the following day.

Why is SJU starting a few days earlier than everyone else? Is it because they are playing a day earlier on Friday Sep. 6th?

They're so bad they need the extra days of practice.  I think they'll be luck to beat anyone this year, except Hamline.

Aug. 14 is a fairly common start date based on the teams I've talked to so far for Kickoff.

The first day of camp is based on a formula that takes into account the first day of classes. Teams that play on Thursday or Friday night in the first week of the season do NOT get an extra day of practice because of it. Their start date is calculated as if they played on Saturday.

Camp start dates are different for each team because of the NCAA formula from what I understand ??? ???  number of practices per day and the mix of conditioning vs. full contact how many days per 7 day calendar... That how it was explained to me!

I hope this isn't a U$T tailgate!!!

And dependent on the first day of classes, which is why it varies even for schools that have their first games on the same weekend.

The difference being that you can't hunt them in St. Paul!  Big SJU advantage for country boys like myself.  ;D
