Hey Chicago Tommie,

We've had some back and forth with you and your enthusiasm for UST. Your son going to play for them is big for you, I understand. But he's also moving out of the house several hundred miles away to a different metro area. How do you and the MRS. feel about that? Can't be all about football.

My oldest is going into high school this year and that seems like a big deal to me.

Keep the bill at Manny's <$200? Not always easy to do.

As Father Tom at St. Joe's says, Peace.

Five Out-State All-Stars Bring 2013 SJU Football Class' Total to 15

Saint John's University head football coach Gary Fasching announced that five additional 2013 recruits from outside of Minnesota were named to their respective state all-star games: linebacker Bryce Byl (Osceola High School, Wis.); running back Jakob Certeza (Great Oak High School, Calif.); linebacker Nate Hass (Guardian Angels Central Catholic High School, Neb.); linebacker Alex Lowe (Kearney Catholic High School, Neb.); and running back Tyler Shalla (Southern High School, Neb.).

The five outstate All-Stars, combined with the 10 that competed in the Minnesota High School All-Star game, brings the incoming class' total to 15.

Cripes!  We've spent so much time slinging mud around the place that I forgot to check Rajkowski's blog.   Good golly they're good.

Nice Q&A session with Coach Caruso. This season has me excited! Just booked my ticket back to Minnesota for the Tommie/Johnnie game. Should be fun.

It's funny you say that.  Apparently, sophomore David Simmet is down 15 pounds from last season...weighing in at a measly 330 pounds!  ;D  He's 6'6" and started last year as a freshman.  I think the sky is the limit for this kid.

Haha! Well, my job has kept me quite busy the past few years and unfortunately I haven't been able to see a game in a while. And hey, who knows, maybe the Johnnies will conjure up a little magic and make it interesting.  ;)

Yeah, I remember the days when I could eat non-stop.  Those days are gone.  These kids will have a reality check when they are finally out on their own and they realize how much they spend on groceries!  I remember telling myself, "Wow, I must have cost my parents a fortune on groceries."

So you're saying there's a chance!
I guess the Tommies almost did it in 2003.  :o

The days of 4-bowls of cereal for breakfast, decimating the pizza buffet, and drinking beer like water are long gone.  It really hits you when you aren't working out 4 hours a day!
