Now I see why they would want to limit visibility.

We ARE St. Thomas.  How original.  I guess Penn State picked that up from you guys.

SFURY just executed a very good joke.

UST's Twitter handle is just basic updates on events, awards, schedules etc. Not really any different than any other team's Twitter.

No idea why it's set to private. My guess is I haven't read too many articles about UST football on the internet that didn't just have an absolute flood of bitter SJU fans polluting the comment section, no need to subject yourself to it on your own Twitter page.

The retort of course being: "Well, if UST had a more devoted and educated fan base then MAYBE...(insert why SJU fans are so much better)"

Then I rebut: "UST fans have better things to do than sit on internet comment sections sticking up for their team all day (while I keep the irony of this statement to myself   as I am on the comment section of a website devoted to D3 football when I should be working)

And then we have the same argument we've had a million times before, ignoring any legitimate worth-while information about the actual teams that will be on the field this year.

Damn you Fury.  I have to admit, you had me hook, line and sinker.

This is real, for the grapplers amongst us (or just sports fans). Wright Thompson on Dan Gable.

That was very good, sfury. I didn't read them until after i had already read they were fake. But you had me wishing they were real.

If anyone is interested, here's a 10 minute segment on how Hawthorn set their forward line with the two best forwards in the comp.  It shows how seemingly random movement is actually set to create size mismatches and open space targets for the midfielders. I would love to see a segment about Hawthorns release off the back line, which has been exceptional this year.

We all knew the Tommies were mindless. Now we know they are also humorless.

Some people think that Obama is a great speach giver. Many believe that of Reagan or Churchill or Lincoln. But no one knew that the greatest speach giver was some dweeb engineering student at Georgia Tech.

Now THAT was a classic!  Not quite the Gettysburg Address or "I have a Dream" (which I just learned this week was totally ad libbed after Mahalia Jackson interrupted MLK midway through his speech and told him "tell them about the dream, Martin"), but not bad for an engineer!

(Before I get any hate messages from engineers, my late father was an engineer, and my oldest brother became a PhD economist after flunking out of the U of Illinois engineering program.  But they tend to not be renowned as speech-makers - see Herbert Hoover and Jimmy Carter. :P)

There's a lot I could say about some of those twitter accounts.  I'll just keep my mouth shut and let them speak for themselves.

Anyways, does anyone know why SJU linebacker Ricky Davis left the team? I have also heard that one of your defensive lineman and Maze Thompson did not return this year. Anyone know what's going on?

Just saw that Fritz Waldvogel will be joining the WCCO broadcast for UST football games this fall. Should be a great addition to the crew.

I think Thompson hung it up do to injuries.  Haven't heard anything about Davis or Joe Zrust, who is the d-lineman that you're probably referring to.  This is just my thought, but perhaps a bit of attrition from the coaching change?
