Congrats to Jake Barkley and Andrew Hilliard on being inducted into the UST Hall of Fame.  http://www.tommiesports.com/sftbl/news/Hall_821.html

Spent a lot of time watching how hard both of those guys worked (on and off the field). Heart had as much to do with their success as talent, I've never seen two guys give more effort to be good at something in my life.

I imagine Justin Hall is somewhere mumbling to anyone willing to listen about how he should have gotten in as well.

Bethel just posted this on their main website: http://athletics.bethel.edu/news/2013/8/23/FB_0823132141.aspx

In the spirit of sharing, some secular friends from MN asked me to be the officiant for their wedding coming up in a few months.  I just went online and now am officially "ordained" and it's legal for me to perform all sorts of "religious" rites in the state of MN.  I'm not sure how I feel about online ordination that anyone can receive with a few clicks on a website.  That being said, I request that you all now refer to me as Reverend MIAC... ;D
Does that mean your posts are going to be even more sanctimonious than usual?  :-*

Now child, tell me of your sins... ;)
Back in college I had a one night stand with a girl from the College of St. Thomas.  Now this is not a rare occurrence because the average Tommie Girl relationship is 1.2 dates.  Besides the requisite penicillin shot, do I need to do any other penance?

What would you prefer: The average Tommie girl whose relationship is 1.2 dates or the average Bennie girl who is 1.2 Tommie girls?

If i wasn't married, seeing how I am 45, either would do.

Ha!  He's coordinating a party bus for the Tommie/Johnnie weekend, at which the guys will be honored.

Nice little UST camp update: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_V-QNoqYujw&feature=player_embedded.

I believe UST is scrimmaging Rochester today. Should be good for them to line up against someone new.

That is correct. I'm over at the Scoreboard Bowl watching my UST (gasp) nephew. Today we are all RCTC.

Early takeaway from the scrimmage...UST has a bigger budget than RCTC. UST QBs have black jerseys, RCTC QBs in orange mesh pennies pulled over uniform.

SUMMIT!!!!!

Beautiful ball park, and ML has a powerhouse thats for sure. I complained to cousin Daryl & uncle Kenneth that the wood bleachers were too hard!

You must be getting soft in your advanced age  ;D

Did you notice the efficiency in which the beer lines moved along. One thing for sure, Maple Lake "Irish Stadium" staff knows how to keep everyone who wants to drink beer from ever having an empty. If you have an empty beer it's your own fault, not the fault of the beer vendors. 8-)
