miac maniac sighting at Maple Lake tonight to cheer on his Watkins Clippers vs. defending State Champs Maple Lake  :)
Beautiful ball park, and ML has a powerhouse thats for sure. I complained to cousin Daryl & uncle Kenneth that the wood bleachers were too hard!
You must be getting soft in your advanced age  ;D

Did you notice the efficiency in which the beer lines moved along. One thing for sure, Maple Lake "Irish Stadium" staff knows how to keep everyone who wants to drink beer from ever having an empty. If you have an empty beer it's your own fault, not the fault of the beer vendors. 8-)
I was more impressed with the beer prices--- $3/beer wasnt bad, but $12/six-pack was sweet. the profit margin was still huge....any word on the official attendance Fr nite? 1500?

Announce attendance for the ML-W game (middle game) was 1,033-- so the combined for early & late game I would guess would exceed 500 additional spectators.

The state board does a great job especially when situating the Stearns County League teams in different districts come play-off time. Small town Stearns County-i.e: Lake Henry, Spring Hill, El Rosa -- come out in droves to watch baseball. North Star League- Maple Lake, Delano, Loretto, Dassel- Cokato etc... also support their teams well .....

You gotta love "Town Team Baseball"   ;D
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

How did UST look at the scrimmage against RCTC yesterday?

From what I heard, the scrimmage went well for the Tommies.  Apparently UST started out rough, but then they picked it up and started looking pretty good.  I heard Matt Misiewicz did really well.  Also, Brenton Braddock was held out of the scrimmage.  Might have been just precautionary but still interesting nonetheless.

Thanks for the update...I also herd that they got in 225 plays that would be about 3 games worth...that's crazy and today they have practices and meetings from 8 am until lights out at 11 pm. I hope Braddock is ok they will need him!

That's a lot of plays. I'd imagine that after their practice in the morning that they'll be watching film the rest of the night.

They didn't.  Didn't want opponents to see that one yet.  ;D

Interesting comment on Frank R's SC Times SJU chat:

QuoteDo you think it is fair that SJU lead on so many recruits and some could have played on another MAIC schools team. Some kids go to these schools thinking they are going to play. Over promise!!!

Maybe the inquisitor is thinking of U$T???
