Sheesh.  If there is talk about who should be number one this week then look out for Linfield.  They pumped Hardin-Simmons 71-21 and that ain't no walk over.

I'm not quite sure Hardin-Simmons is that good this year. Unranked Willamette put up 64 on Hardin-Simmons last week.

See ya next Saturday. Flying in for the game. Should be exciting.

Well, maybe for the Tommies. I won't have real high expectations going into it but you never know. Will take some St. Thomas errors and SJU obviously can't turn the ball over anything like today. Maybe it can downpour again, even things up a bit. Still, happy with the 2-0 start. Brutal beginning to the schedule, had to have these first two or could have been really ugly.

SJU will likely get monkey-stopped (maybe a double or triple) next week.  That being said, I like the fact the SJU is 2-0.  Maybe it will reinvigorate the fan base and we'll see more lively banter on this board.

After going 7-0 in non-conference play in week one, it looks like the MIAC will go 5-1 this week.

SJU would be walking into a monkey stomp (double, triple or what have you) had they played Northwestern, Crown, or (fill in your favorite "cream puff" here) to open the season. Those games always allow a false sense of security to fester. But, after two games against the WIAC, the Johnnies have a much better feel of who they are as a team.

I'm anticipating a closer game than last year (a game where Johnnies held the lead for most of the second quarter, by the way) only to have the Toms run away in the second half.
I'd be shocked and disappointed if this one is a Tommie drubbing from the start.

Luther finally won over St Olaf.......in about ten years !

Oles have two plus great receivers but the QB throws about ten yards beyond them often.  Luther intercepted several.  Both teams had too many turnovers.

Win Luther needed badly after 0-13 from 2011.

I think it kind of depends on how the teams come out of the gate. If we see the Toms from week 1, it could get ugly in a hurry. When UST is clicking it's hard to stop the momentum. Fortunately for UST the game will be at home and they have 9 days to prepare for the game. I think UWEC exposed a few holes in SJU's run defense. I think UST's coaching staff will see that and will run it until they stop them, something UWEC failed to do.

Franklin is playing a great game right now against DI-FCS Butler University. Always good to see a bunch of non-scholarship kids take it to a DI school.

Butler doesn't give scholarships to football players.

I know that GC can do no wrong in some of your eyes, but it's things like this that irk me.  He is the anti-John Gagliardi.

I think a lot of folks got sick of the drivel coming from your and Doney's keyboards, so they bailed.

SJU looked good first half.  To essentially give EC the ball in the red zone three times and hold them scoreless says something.  They're obviously not back to where they were 10-12 years ago, but they are better than 2012 by a long shot.  They need to get that swagger back!

+K for incorporating "drivel" in a post. Appropriate and quite possibly never seen before in the MIACPP.

Maybe he's just trying to make his players look bigger. If the 5'5" GC leads them onto the field most guys will seem like they're easily 6'7"  ;) ;D

Here's something I noticed that is sure to light the fire once again under the "SJU Video Webcast" discussion.

Did anyone else catch Mark and Bryan referring to the replay on the view screen in the broadcast booth after a few of today's controversial calls?

I remember seeing a closed-circuit feed on the TVs near the concessions at Clemens Stadium the last time I was there (I should point out the last time I was at the Natural Bowl was 2011). However, I only remember it being nothing more than a straight, unedited feed from a single camera on top of the press box.  Apparently, the folks running the feed must have added some replay capabilities because there were several times where Mark and Bryan talked about reviewing a play after the fact. This is certainly the first time I've heard it mentioned during the radio broadcast.

This leads me to wonder if we are getting close to a streaming feed in the near future?
