"It looks like they may be a little deeper team than in years past at certain positions," Caruso said. "But it seems like they're still doing a lot of the same things they always have. They don't look too dissimilar from other St. John's teams we've seen."  SCTimes

Here's hoping that Ramler has a few wrinkles in the offense today that catches UST "D" off guard.  Sura is getting the start today at RB for Essler, although there probably won't be too many gaping holes to run through.

Hoping for a great game from the Johnnies and a fabulous webcast by the Tommies.

Something where the Tommies tamper with the internet tubes, I believe.

The Troll on Gameday

Corso picked the Cobbers.

Awesome moment for the Cobbers and the Oles!  I missed it today, but I will be looking for the video.  I met Coach Corso several years ago at a bowl game event.  He gladly talked with everyone at the event and shared some stories that were purely Coach Corso.  I realize a lot of people don't like his antics on the show, but I think he does a great job with understanding involving the crowd.  I also have no problem with him picking the Cobbers.  If I was an analyst on the show I'd pick them also.  Concordia is difficult in Moorhead, and St. Olaf has not shown me a reason to pick them.  It annoys me when people complain about analysts not always being positive about their school.  They are not fans!  They are paid to analyze your team and not tell you what you want to hear.

Mark and Bryan feeling a little snubbed on the pre-game that Caruso did not return their calls and request for an interview for the SJU broadcast.  UST QB O'Connell has mono but will still play.

Hate to see a kicker from any school miss in a situation like that, but...

GO (wretch, cough cough) JOHNNIES!

Great win, and glad to see things looking up for their fan base.  Awesome win for Coach Fasching, and a great game by both teams!
The artist formerly known as Carl Spackler... it's nice to be back!

Adversity doesn't build character; it reveals it.

Another first for the St John's record books this weekend.  Fasching's first loss. What a pleasure it will be to see UST's name in the winning column of that box score.

Here's to another first, and many more to come  ;D

Oh, baby!  I had to get over here and quote this turd burger before you could delete it.

TOMMIES SUCK!

Sorry Tommie Fans all us arrogant Johnnies are back.  Will be priceless hearing Chicago Tommies reaction.  I don't think he could fathom a loss ever happing to UST.

Fact is UST is a great team, SJU got the breaks today but played their best game of the year.

Now the real pressure for the Tommies, they need to win out to make the playoffs.  I think Bethel may be the team to beat this year.

All is well in the world once again...

John was right, tommies will always (almost) find a way to screw it up!!!

Out and about, missed whole thing. Can't wait to listen to replay (and do Tommies replay video?). That said, let's make sure to win with class...and the proper use of apostrophes.

My 42-7 prediction was slightly off...

And yeah SJU needed 5 turnovers and missed kick but like I wrote this week, that was how they'd win this and the Tommies cooperated and Johnnies are good enough to take just enough advantage. Shoe's definitely on the other foot -- feels like all those games SJU had over the years where they'd have 4, 5 - 10 - turnovers and still have a chance, like the Tommies did.

This is going to be a classic week in the MIACPP.  8-)

Gary outcoached St. Glen today. After that arrogant little man's comments at halftime he deserved to lose.

Gary after the win gave credit to everyone but himself...opposite to Caruso

Nah, we are going to be missing the host of the party  ;D

Congrats SJU on the big win.

I'm not counting UST out yet.

This could be similar to '06 and '07 for Bethel. Dropping a game forced the team into playoff mode early, and it paid dividends by seasons end.

Honestly though, I think this MIAC race is WIDE OPEN...I'll go on record as predicting no one goes unbeaten, three teams end up with one loss or some other such chaos.

Obviously I'm hoping Bethel does go unbeaten, but the MIAC is as tough as its ever been. Going to be one fun season from here on out!
