That said, let's make sure to win with class...and the proper use of apostrophes.

was it just me or did the roar of the crowd after the missed field goal almost make it seem like it was in Collegeville...

The Johnnie Faithful were the 12th man on the field today.  They were excellent.

QuoteSorry Tommie Fans all us arrogant Johnnies are back.

With all the cut and pasting I expect this board to move 200 pages this week.

Congrats SJU on the big win.

I'm not counting UST out yet.

This could be similar to '06 and '07 for Bethel. Dropping a game forced the team into playoff mode early, and it paid dividends by seasons end.

Honestly though, I think this MIAC race is WIDE OPEN...I'll go on record as predicting no one goes unbeaten, three teams end up with one loss or some other such chaos.

Obviously I'm hoping Bethel does go unbeaten, but the MIAC is as tough as its ever been. Going to be one fun season from here on out!

I am of the same opinion - that is - that it's still way too early in the season to see who is going to end up on top.  Augsburg squeaked out a win over Gustavus and many (including me) thought that game wouldn't be that close. It could be real interesting if Bethel ends up at St. John's in the last game of the year vying for the title - as both undefeateds.

Tonight's menu:

Crow followed by Humble Pie.

Wasn't there some talk, declarations really, about Senior classes and firsts this weekend?  How would you like the Crow served?

Coach C to the team in the locker room -- continuation of the half-time delusion -- they didn't beat us boys, we beat ourselves.  I know what the win-loss column says, and I know we are now looking up the ass of SJU in the standings, but they didn't beat us, we are family!

My video feed was so grainy and the roar was so loud that I initially thought he had made it.  Had to be an awesome atmosphere to play in, and the weather looked perfect.
The artist formerly known as Carl Spackler... it's nice to be back!

I had the same reaction. On the feed it looked from the crowds initial reaction that he made it. Then I saw the players reaction and suddenly their was red streaming onto the field.

Must have been one amazing atmosphere. Any word on how many folks were in attendance?

Wonder how that plays in recruiting? Come to ust where we beat ourselves?

I couldn't watch the video.  I was tucked back into a corner of the family room with my eyes covered listening to VOJ.  I couldn't look.

Hey!  This is a family board.  UST practices in practice should stay there.  :D
