If the Cobs and SJU were in Moorhead tomorrow I would strongly consider going down to watch. Really not looking forward to watching UND have 50 hung up on them again by another top 5 ranked Montana school.

The Big Sky is a magical place where defense doesn't exist and the final outcome looks like a high school basketball score.

It might not be as bad at the game vs. the Grizzlies.  Montana State's QB is out until mid-late October.

Fellas, looking for a great homecoming tomorrow.  I'll miss most of you at the tailgate.  This is my 35th reunion and since I was a sucker and allowed myself to be Class Agent*, I'm obligated to do the activities planned by the alumni relations people.

* No one else would take the job.  I think I was choice 340.  I've nominated Fins to take over the role.

Shuck the Cobbers!
For my 50th I skipped the class activities and attended the Stiftungfestivity. Good choice ;)

Since there are no Concordia fans on here lately (not counting CobberNation), I'll be the honorary Sofa King.

Oh man I had to think hard about what you meant by "the jacket" Benchwarmer.  There are 2 meanings to the metaphor over the years.  I even received a few calls from some of my pals asking for an explanation...

Man lots of nostalgia today.  I'm reminded this is the 5 year anniversary of Willy Wonka, Frank Rickard, and the Mongolian Warrior causing quite a scene in the Class of 83 tent.  Yahtzee!!!  I'm thinking the statute of limitations has run out and Frank & his Gustie crew would be welcomed back into Collegeville.

Benchwarmer: Remember how much Sofa King loved Andrew Passanante?  It rivaled RedHotBennie's lifelong crush on the Dirty Deuce.  She has quite the shrine to #2 in her Medina McMansion...

Looking forward to the contest tomorrow.  I believe there is more respect between SJU and Concordia in football than any other matchup in the MIAC.  Terry Horan does a really terrific job recruiting the Red River Valley.

Spoke with Veek today.  He's making his 2013 Collegeville debut tomorrow and will have 48 sausages for the hungry tailgaters.
Chasing MILFs since '82...

I saw that. He's probably the best FCS qb in the nation too. Who knows, I don't think UND will hang for too long. I hope I am wrong.

TDT, Andrew Passanante was the man, it was just the refusal to acknowledge it that was so fun. Kid got Sofa King angry.

I remember that...I was just a reader of the board at that point, and I also remember how you guys dubbed Passanante "Pace-Picante", and that seemed to fire him up even more.

OldAuggie:  Are you concerned at all about the Auggie showing last week?  Gustavus wasn't projected to be a top tier team.  Not necessarily surprised by giving up the 16, more surprised at only putting 19 up themselves.
No, not yet. Gustavus had a good game plan, they ran the ball a bunch of times and tried to keep the time of possession in their favor. They also made sure Ayrton Scott had at least one guy if not more than one on him throughout the game. the Gustie D tried to take away the run and make Scott beat them with his arm, and he did. I noticed Tyler Maxwell left the game early and he is not on the two deep roster so that had to affect them last week as well. I think the Auggies will play well this weekend and gain some momentum. They scored 51 on Concordia WI in week 1 (a 7-3 team last year) so you know they are capable of scoring a lot of points. I think we will see plenty of Auggie points on Saturday.

I know it's all highlights, but that was an excellent mark at 1:22.

Thanks for stepping up to the plate, Bench. I've long ago decided to hold my tongue before the CON-SJU game (and hold my breath during it).

That said, this becomes a question to the masses. IF the Cobbers win tomorrow, do they make the top 25? Would a Johnnie loss make voters consider last week's victory more of a fluke and not sufficient to catapult the Cobbers?

That asked, I am almost inclined to withdraw the question, because I think early season polls are good fodder for water-cooler talk (or its electronic equivalent), but are really pretty meaningless, especially outside of the top 8 or so.

24th. A 4-0 MIAC team will almost certainly be in or rightin the edge. If the Cobbers win with some authority then they certainly will, I reckon.

Just under two hours to go.
