I will miss the game tomorrow. On the way to OK to visit kids.  ....and try again to OD on catfish.
Will catch the score later.

Looking at the National Weather Service report for Northfield, Today strong storms with larger hail possible and winds 10-20 MPH. Saturday scattered storms winds 10-20 MPH.
Combined with the rain from yesterday both fields; St. Olaf & Carleton, should be a mess as they are located in lower portions of each campus. Running games and clock control may be the ticket to success.
why does the condition of the field at Carleton matter? Last I heard, the Knights were playing AT UST.   And maybe the St Olaf sprinklers that SJ1U fans harp on & on about got turned on this week and the control broke?
Maniac- I was more concerned one of the Knights players would either be injured by falling hail stones or twist an ankle in the mud on Friday walk through  ;)
My bad on the location of the Carleton-UST game today.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

It might be a stretch, but I'd like to see the Toms first team D shut out the Knights today.
I'll also be watching the dropped balls from the wide outs, they don't help O'Connel's case.
The last shall be first and the shall be.......

Looks like I might miss the game. The wife and I have been up until nearly 1am watching Breaking Bad. Cost a bit to buy it but we've found it good drama (if awful context).

Go Johnnies!

Gonna try your hand at some noodling while you're there?

Today's game at Olaf worries me.  Johnnies offense has struggled to put up points and the defense has a couple players nicked up.  The team should be ready for a breakout game and the Oles look like a team that we should be able to handle.  I'm worried however because the Oles are another team that always seems to give the Jays fits.  Hope I'm wrong but I see the Johnnies winning in a squeaker or losing a game they should win.

Brilliant show. Reminds me of Dostoevsky and Crime and Punishment. A brutally accurate portrayal of depravity and how it consumes a person. A modern Raskolnikov in some ways ...

I hadn't gotten into Breaking Bad, although many friends and my sons enjoy. I have started watching lately. I knew the story, so it wasn't like I was a child, who came wandering in to a movie....  Then I watched a few of the earlier episodes when AMC did their marathon replay. It seemed like there was more humor in the early part.

Am I wrong about the change in tone?

Nope, it's part of what I find so brilliant about it. The tone of the show, characterization and plot have grown appropriately darker as Walt has descended into his alter ego, Heisenberg.

It definitely helps to watch from the start. To see the transformation of Walt and its effects on everyone around him...brilliant writing and acting.
