The silence from St Paul is deafening...

While you wait for the regulars maybe you can expound upon the big Johnnie win this weekend?  I haven't heard how great the defense was or how Ramler really shook it up again this weekend, putting up some big numbers.

You are a sad little fellow.  You are so trapped in your <fill in the blank> for SJU that you can't see the forest from the trees.  I don't think any of the SJU folks ever claimed this season was about putting the capstone on the chimney.  Rather, expectations have been very measured as the foundation is built out this season.  I can tell, this bothers and worries you, as it should.

Me, I took the points and Carelton.  I expected a win, but not the point spread AO offered.  Conference (coaching staff) dynamics have changed and that is, for me, the beauty in John's retirement.

This coming from the guy who's first comment on the weekend was to remind me that a UST loss is a loss.  You and the rest of the SJ1 faithful piled on the UST loss before ever making a comment about how the SJ1 game went. I thought that was sad, and was simply pointing it out to Stanbob and the like.

Excuse me.  Again you are so blinded.  My first comment was a response, not a comment, if that is lost on you, I am truly sorry for you.  A comment would have been some rhetoric about how UST is . . . . ., how the coach is blah, blah, blah, you get the point.  I only responded because you seem unable to accept the situation on the ground.  It is really quite simple and should not need explanation.

awesome day in Arden hills. Got to experience a lot of seasons, weather-wise and see a whale of a game. BU looks as good as any d3 team I've seen play in person, period. I'd say they have the talent, discipline, determination, experience and coaching to bring back the walnut & bronze.  They have a balanced offense, and a very determined, hard nose defense. That goal line stand in Q1 was impressive and set the tone of the day.  They will cruise thru regular season easily and should be #1 seed in West. Mathis is a beast.....impressive to see him in person. Peterson mixes things up well and has a decent arm. Nice atmosphere today too...despite the excessive flannel plaids  :)   nice to enjoy a great game.

Before half, I ducked in my car to thaw out and caught this Dave lee gem "I don't have a clue what's happening on the field"... he was talking about the chaos in the final minute, but I think it summed up most games for him nicely  :)

I agree with Corn horn...hazzbeen, you survived as grueling of a stress test as medical science can conjure up1

I wouldn't be surprised if Bethel ends up number three in the West behind Linfield and whichever of the WIAC teams makes it through that three way rumble at the top.  But they are good.

Oz, you too had nothing to say about the SJ1 win.  Just went right after others with your first comment. Couldn't stop yourself. Had to cut down Bethel.

I make a point of it in general on the SJ1 posters and you go right after me personally.

Please, save me the is sympathy comments.

Response/comments are semantics on a chat room board.  The point is you had a greater motivation to cut me down than you did to come on here and talk about games/players/etc.

I'm tired of hearing "quite in St. Paul." When at the same time the only noise from SJ1 is taking shots at other programs.

Oh man-so we can't comment on other games unless we comment on our team's game first-ok I know your rules now.

SJU was awsome yesterday.
Bethel seemed like a playoff team. Ust not so much.

I knew better than to comment on the SJU margin of victory against Carleton after my team lost this weekend.  I would have thought the SJ1 faithful would have extended the same courtesy to those commenting on UST and Bethel.

(Don't tell me a win is a win therefore can say whatever...that's garbage.)

Nice game, Johns.  Congrats on 6-1.

Now I think I'll follow the end of the BU/UST game.

How much more commentary do you want from a ho-hum game?

You know that AlmostEx is one of your own, right?

I know from this Johnnie Fan, a SJU win and a CST loss both make my day.  Luckily over the last 25 years a lot of both have happened

OzJohnnie

Off week practice...  I reckon the passing game in both sides if the ball. The defense, obviously, leaves people far too open. An offense with the skill to change patterns and a QB with the skill to pick and hit open receivers will carve them up.  Although they did survive Scott I reckon there was quite a bit if luck in that win.

On the offense there is a lot of opportunity for a passing game. Everyone is learning (including us) that we have two beast mode runnin backs and a line to help them. We also have two slick receivers. If we can get the air game clicking during this break then we'll have a pretty strong offense. Real high point potential.

The GAC game is a coin toss so we need to be ready. Maybe that is the best bit of the week off timing. It's happened just before what's turned out to be the make or break game of the year. I feel like we're playing just above our weight division and a little Magic and hard work has kept us winning. But we're not so far out of the top class that something couldn't click and we end up with half a shot to make this a very good year.

Not true. Last week Bethel had 498 points and NCC had 538. This week Bethel has 516 and NCC 537. They are essentially co-#4's.  ;D  ;) 8-)
