Yeah players is one thing, coaches another. Players are fine (although Duff's story about Gagliardi berating them for holding hands in the huddle made me like JG even more).

But the cover of probably the most famous -- and best -- sports book in history was...

I think Hollywood should remake The Charge of the Light Brigade only this time have the Brits hold hands as they ride their ponies into the Russian guns. It would feel so much more real with a contrived show of emotion, don't you agree?

Looks like the Bethel game is at the Dome on Saturday...

I saw that. Bummer. I assume it means that any future playoff home games this fall will also not be at BU?

Well Oz this leaves me conflicted,do I go to a playoff game inside the HHH Dome and not get frostbite (forecasted high 18* F on Sat.) or follow the in-game update in the privacy of my home & drink copious amounts of beer and still not get frostbite?
Either way,no frostbite but at home good beer, HHH Dome over priced distilled rhinoceros urine. :-\
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Kind of lame IMHO.  What's the reason?  Field conditions?  Temps????  What gives?

Pretty cool banner around campus today.  Go Royals!

Growing kind of tired of all the hand holding in football.  I'm thinking if I sat down and had a beer w/ Bud Grant, Ditka, Nitschke  or any old time football player and asked him about holding hands with teammates they would give me a roundhouse to the jaw!

Great place overall, especially when the leaves are turning, but turn off the commercials!!  :D

They've got to find a way to pay the bills.
If I had the money, I'd gladly pony up a large amount of it to rid Clemens Stadium of that.

Agreed. Perhaps they know that the field will only hold up for 1 or 2 more games and they want to save a true home field advantage for rounds 2 and possibly 3?

Hazz might have some further insight from his sources.

they fear the cold temps would give Scholastica a major advantage. Duluth entered winter 5 weeks ago.

Forecast is for snow Thursday night and then a high of 18* Saturday.  That's an almost identical scenario to what we had for the PLU game back in 2000 when the field froze solid and was still icy in patches for the game.  That was a miserable day, and not just because of the outcome.  Glad to see the lessons of that day weren't ignored in this case.  I would think the decision about where to play will be made on a week-to-week basis.

Agree that the poster is awesome, especially because of who is in the background.

Not so fast Grasshopper. The Dome just happens to have an open date this weekend. Next weekend will be the High School Championship games.
If relocation in the future weeks, the Dome may not be an option.
Dare I say...gulp... relocating to UST  :o

No kidding, but considering Bethel's current financial state that's not likely to happen any time soon.  The school announced the gutting of its musical department this week, and it wouldn't surprise me if there's more to come.
