"Severe weather conditions"?...................
Forecast for the Twin Cities next Sat.... H 10   L  -3
Of course, it could be just as cold in Naperville, but they have a much better field.
I predict the game is moved to NC.

The game *might* get moved from Royal Stadium, but not to Naperville. What on earth would weather have to do with the higher seed being forced to go on the road? Serious question: what about the playoffs and the NCAA's regs for hosting leads you to make this statement? Or is this just a random assumption on your part and not based on actual knowledge of how the NCAA handles these things?

Also, I have great admiration for Keefe as a senior who stayed with the program.

I didn't say weather conditions were going to be severe here next weekend, I was just saying 'if' severe conditions were predicted then that might be reason to move the game. As of right now, I see no reason to move the game to Naperville. They probably have a better field (I personally don't know what they have), but the field at BU today didn't appear to suffer any damage. But you never know - money talks so if the powers that be think they can make more money by moving it to Naperville they just might (but I seriously doubt it).

Outside the Crate

I was with one of the Bethel music directors today, and he said next Saturday afternoon's Christmas concert is sold out, so 1700 music fans will be vying for parking, too.  He said he thought they might be forced to move the game elsewhere in the city.

I would have to believe this scenario was planned out in advance. The concert just didn't happen last week,it's been on the calendar for quite some time. I have to believe that the athletic department has made contingency plans, perhaps to relocate the game to an alternate site in the Twin Cities (UST anyone?)Or have off site parking for fans & bus them to the campus- for both music & football.I would believe way down on the list of places to play would be in Naperville,IL

I jumped over to the North Central website & they have a pretty nice stadium (it's no Clemens Stadium  ;) but is pretty nice)with Field-Turf.
I for one would hate to see the Royals play in Naperville, they've earned the right to host the game.

If field conditions are the reason for all this hub-bub (no proof has been brought forth at this point) then it is one more reason for the Bethel support network to put together a booster club, separate from the school,to raise funds for stadium improvements.

As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Money has zero impact on where this game is played. The difference in gate receipts would be negligible between Bethel and Naperville.

Seriously fellas, the prognosticating going on is getting less informed by the minute. Let's just wait and see what they announce. Either Bethel isn't the 1 seed like we've all assumed (closed circuit to NCAA - release the seeds!!) or I'm assuming Bethel would have to agree to move the game and give up the 1. And even that's an assumption. We'll find out more as the week goes on from those actually in the know.

As for Festival...if the game stays on campus they have a plan in place to shuttle in fans.

Congrats to Bethel!  Looking forward to a great game between two great teams, wherever it's played.  Check out this link to the NCAA website and take from it what you will.  As a Cardinal fan, it seems to at least appear that we could be hosting this game.   Thoughts?

It means nothing until it has a location attached to it. All it signifies is that the game will be played in Central Time, which we all know.

Well done Mr. and Mrs. Duff! Big brother gets a little sister. She'll have you twisted around her little finger as time goes on. I know my daughter can play me like a fiddle.  ;)

Anybody mention on the field goal block Bethels #18 clips I think #98 on the run back.  Just noticed it looking at the video on Bethels site.  Looks like you got away with a big one.

Seriously  :o This is the most ridiculously and comical statement about a blown call I've ever seen. Watch the video for yourselves.

For the sake of everyone who ever has or will participate in organized sports, I hope you never put on stripes.  :o  ;) That would have been the worst block in the back call of all time. Having watched it 4 or 5 times now, I'm seriously dumbfounded where you see any infraction. Am I missing the sarcasm here?

Scrubby

Couldn't agree more Hazz!  Plus, had no factor in the game in the end.
Holding all day long by both team, hardly ever called!
Hazz, you at game?  Is field as hard as they say it is??

Honestly, worse observation of a call ever!  Even a Johnnie would agree if you go and watch it!  Actually, maybe not.
