Two questions for all the BU fans -
Who's going to be at the game in person?
Can Keefe bring the O as good or better than Peterson?
Comments?!

Ed,

I cannot be there - would love to, but will be hosting a Christmas party that night that I will be getting ready for - cooking the turkey, etc.

I am unqualified to speak to your second question. He's been behind Peterson for two years and everything you see and read about these two is that they're good friends, so I hope there won't be a lot of "let down" as he controls the O. The stats at the end of the Wartburg game seem to indicate that he is capable, so we'll see. Others more intimate with the situation are free to chime in on this.

Comments: I am kind of surprised that they did not move the game. But then again, maybe nothing near by is available at any price. Or that the thinking is BU does not want to give up that home field advantage at this stage in the season. It'd be nice to hear from someone in the know concerning how the decision was reached. (Not for dissecting, but just to know how it came to be.)

I am planning on being at the game this Saturday.

I really don't know much about Keefe, but based on what he did last Saturday coming into the game in a crucial situation and responding the way he did, I have no doubt that he can handle the offense without much of a drop off from Peterson. The only thing that I see is that Keefe may not be as good of a runner as Peterson which may affect what plays they call. Sounds like Coach J has a lot of confidence in Keefe - I guess only time will tell.

When we played at Trinity in 2002, the field was painted green!

Is that why it took you guys a half to start playing?

Sorry...cheap shot. Painful memories, I'm sure!

I'll be at the game Saturday.  As for Keefe, the word is he is almost as good.  Good reads and accurate passing.  Keefe my do a little more running than Peterson.

Just curious as to why you think Keefe would run more than Peterson. In the game last Saturday, I don't remember Keefe doing any running (except when he was forced from the pocket). On the other hand, Peterson ran several running plays designed for him. I would think Keefe would do a little less running.

I had a conversation with some of the staff and that was the lowdown on Keefe.  Especially with the low temps predicted for Saturday, the running game will be key.

Keefe might be capable of doing more running but play-called to do less because now Bethel doesn't have an experienced QB on the bench to go to.

Royals if thats the side your a Liar!
I have no side in this fight other than to explain what the referees would be looking and it is not this single frame.
That's not when he originally hit him.

From the D3 rule book -  Block in the Back
ARTICLE 4. a. A block in the back is contact against an opponent occurring
when the force of the initial contact is from behind and above the waist.
When
in question, the contact is below the waist (Rule 9-3-3-c) (A.R. 9-3-3-I, -VII
and A.R. 10-2-2-XII).
Look at the video again and you can see that he hits him on the front of his jersey first and as the player continues on he puts his hand on his hip. It is no block from behind.
maybe this  GoThunder clown thought the dude has his jersey on backwards....idk

maybe BU needs to consider having the Music festival at night. In the past, it has caused parking chaos for home basketball games scheduled that day, too.
After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.

They have 3 performances...like noon, 4pm and 7pm or something like that.

Thanks Pat. Now if they build a fire under that tarp the ground might thaw a bit......

That was my thought as well...it might be dry when they pull it off, but with the forecasted temps Thursday - Saturday, it is going to be frozen.
