Gary Fasching was at my high school today recruiting a couple of excellent football players!

I was under the impression that you were older than that.  :o

My post was a little misleading and your impression is correct.  I have been teaching at this high school for 16 years (with Duffman Sr.)

There are good football players from there???  :P

Apollo won the CLC South this year and had they not lost their starting QB to injury, I think they would have went to state.  The QB is a junior and is being recruited by some D2 schools pretty heavily and his mom works at SJU!

Oz, I suspect you are talking about me. :)

Demetrius Ypsilanti was not an Ancient Greek, but a hero of the Greek war of independence in the 1820s against the Ottoman Empire.  What REALLY got the attention of the town fathers of then Woodruff's Grove was the defense of Argos.  With 220 soldiers, he held out against an army of 8,000.  When all provisions were depleted, he (and his entire army) slipped away one night, not losing a single man in the entire siege!  Soon thereafter, Woodruff's Grove became Ypsilanti (though he had no connection at all to the town).

Though we do have some really good Greek restaurants! ;D

Thank you for this context -- I was afraid I was going to have to re-cast you in my minds-eye as a greek god.  ::)

Hazzbeen,

Sorry to be the one to break ranks and spill the beans but I feel compelled to report my conversation w Coach Johnson about the QB status for this week.  EP is on the shelf and O'Keefe will get the nod.  Bethel is secretly planning to both run and throw the ball with their new senior QB.  Some planned QB runs, maybe a wildcat package and a top secret play involving a fake sweep, bootleg , throw back to the running back.  And watch out for Bethel targeting Their two big senior receivers.  Those guys aren't noticed much but should receive plenty of attention Saturday.  Slants, bubble screens and fade routes vs man coverage wouldn't be a surprise. Good luck to both teams.

What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

A friend who was at the SCSU vs MSU-Mankato playoff game Sat mentioned the UST d-coordinator was also at the game. Maybe he was looking to network in anticipation of needing a job.

Pat Coleman

I saw the O-coordinator position at UST is open.

The complete Hawthorn v Geelong 2013 Preliminary Final. The Hawks' first victory over the Cats since the 2008 Grand Final. This was a hard, tight match where neither side could run away and both sides fought like devils when their backs were against the wall.

Is it posted on D3Jobs? The legal profession is getting a bit stale.
