I was finally able to sit down and watch the College Football Awards Show.

That was an incredible tribute to John. It reminded me of everything I love about Saint John's and how the way he operated the football program set the tone for the entire athletic department and how that positively influenced the entire campus.

GO JOHNNIES!
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

Anyone have a link or know how to find one?

Try this.  About the 30 minute mark.

Good job by ESPN yesterday and last evening with the piece on John on OTL and the award show... Really moving after the way John was treated during his exit.  Special thank you to Bill Palmer (a UST alum) that flew from California to Minnesota in his private jet to pick John and his family up and fly them to Florida....Pure Class that will never be forgotten!  It was also wonderful to hear both Larry Kehres and Nick Saban sing John's praises publicly on the broadcasts.

For those folks hoping to send their Caruso family Christmas cards to North Dakota next year....not going to happen from what I have seen and heard.  Glenn is not listed in the final applicants to UND and all indications are the current DC (Klieman) is headed to the big office at NDSU.

Congrats to all you Johnnies out there for the ESPN gig. I am just honored to have played against John's teams. It was always a brush with a legend, even (especially) back in my days.

That was really well done.  Easy to get a little choked up.

Back to our irregular scheduled webcast....SJU will have live video of tomorrow's basketball game when they host #1 Stevens Point.  Must not be concerned about basketball attendance numbers.

Mount Union 41  NCC 40

Exciting game to watch today in the snow. Thought NCC was going to pull it out when they went ahead 40-35 with 1:18 to play but it only took about 16 seconds and 3 pass plays for MU to score again and take the lead for good. Surprising there weren't more TOs in the game. I think there was only 1 TO for each team and both resulted in tds. NCC had a pick 6 and MU's punter fumbled the snap and NCC recovered for a td, oh yeah, MU had a pass intercepted on the last play of the 1st half but that one didn't really matter. Like I said, fun game to watch. Hope UWW-UMHB is just as good.

John and SJU get a nice mention from the announcers on the UWW-MHB game.  8-)

Trying to decide which team I dislike the most...Mount, UWW or MHB.
1.  They all wear purple.
2.  Mount has been so dominant so long and am just growing tired of them...however I will always hold on to 2003.
3.  UWW...ironically  the last time SJU beat them was 2003 as well.
4.  MHB has really ugly pants...I mean really ugly and their stadium just seems too big for D3.  $55 million???

Gary Fasching's interview at halftime of the basketball game today.  Sounds like some kids have contacted him and are interested in transferring...that would be good for the Johnnies.  Let's hope one of them is 6'4" 210 lb deep threat!

Is that too much to ask?

Is Grant Olson from NDSU your cousin? He kinda of looks like you. If so is there any chance he will get back on the field this season (after the ACL) if the Bison make it to the Championship?
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!
