Faunch,  SJU beat UWW in '02, not '03.  They never played in '03.

You're correct...I confused my seasons.  2003 was UWEC and Clown...I mean Crown College.

Just as a heads up ESPNU is replaying both of the playoff games next week. Mount and NCC is on Wednesday the 18th at 1 PM and WW UMHB is on Thursday the 19th at 1 PM. Get those DVR's cranked up! :D I realize seeing purple might not be a first choice but good football has no color. There is some red too!  ;)

WWUMHBT ???

I was very impressed with the feature story on John. He is an amazing man. I feel honored to have had the chance to know him. :)

Oh ya one thing I forgot...... Not a Tommie in sight. How did that getting back to the Stagg Bowl work out for you guys? Not as easy as you thought. Thank you Johnnies. :-*

And as always The Tommies continue to SUCK. ;D

Hey Raider Guy!

It’s good to see that the back up Mount Union Quarterback had the charges dropped for punching a girl at a party earlier this season!  Nice  :o Its also Good to see that the machine works on and off the field for the program.  It must be nice to be able to recruit all the thugs that drop out of the Columbus football program.  As for the Tommie’s ...we haven’t gone anywhere that’s for sure…but not much to say, Like the Cubs fans in Chicago continue to say “wait till next year”.  ;D

Go Tommie’s!

Actually.....if I would have been a parent of the young man, the lawsuits would be flying.  Turns out the girl made up the whole story (which the cops found out and then decided not to investigate), and it was also ruled the cop had no business yanking the kid out of his car the next morning.  Bottom line......a kid left school, had his reputation ruined/damaged, and who knows if he will ever get back to where he once was.  Word is he is re-enrolling for the Winter quarter, so here's hoping he gets his education and maybe gets to be back on the football field.

It was a bad situation that escalated in the wrong direction for the young man.  I am guessing he learned about being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

First Duke Lacrosse, now Purple Raider football. I don't know if I should include Jameis Winston in this, since it's a bit unclear as to what really took place.

High profile athletes are targets for this, but some also have the mentality that hey can get away with anything. It's best not to draw conclusions too early

I disagree  :)
While you may have made a bad choice, your roots are still red.  You're as Stearns County as they come. ;D

My bad, Maniac. I don't know how I forgot to mention you as a stand-up Tommie.

Perhaps its because you also went to SJP, and as a result the things you say are rather un-Tommish.
Duff- my mom was from Stearns, but my dad was from Meeker. Technically, I grew up in Meeker, but the county line was aout 500 yards from our front door. I'd rather say I'm from Stearns...Meeker is sorta bland.

The SJ Abbey keeps offering me a burial plot in their cemetery... IDK how they're going to react to my 6'x9' solid purple crypt with more UST logos on it than there are Fighting Sioux logos in "The Ralph"  :D

They might charge you a few more $$s, but they'll take your money.

They'll just slap some Rhino Deck, Pepsi, and Central MN Credit Union logos on there and call it good.

A tradition unrivaled...

Go one further & use Rhino Deck as your building material of choice for the UST embossed crypt  ;)

the schedule alternates sites in 2-year cycles. 2013 was Year 2 of the 12-13 cycle and 2014 is Year 1 of the 14-15 cycle.

I have it on reliable sources that Clemens stadium will still be around in 2015  :)

There is an open invitation. Simply blow off the UST game & come to God's Country. Enjoys a real tailgate party & the best venue in the country for D3 football. 8-)

What you found as bland & boring, your granddad found as an opportunity. The fertile ground in Meeker County is the right place to sell John Deere tractors & Ford pick-ups. I thinks you did just fine growing up in boring Meeker County. ;)

I will definitely be tailgating in 2015 when the Tommie's come to town! I will be offering Portillo's Italian beefs and various CHICAGO sausages to share...and some choice beverages to get the game day going!  Just need to wait freaking 2 years!

That last post made me hungry and very impatient for kickoff next year for some Tommie football in the MIAC!

Well....I think I will have my last tailgate next Sunday for the Bears Packers Game which will be a Great game with my son and buddies....GO BEARS!!!! And I believe I will have some Tommie players with us if I can land some extra tickets!
