Clemens would look great with alternating red/white stripes--just like a big candy cane.  :-*

Bethel would settle for green anytime of the year.

Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

I think anything other than green should be banned.

Just wait, I'm sure things will continue to get more and more ridiculous.

There will be some knucklehead school administrator that will attempt to do something like this with field turf:

Texas Ole

Football like most sports was meant to be played on real grass.  I blame Houston and BSU for the artificial turfs and colored fields.  I get the fact that in certain places artificial surfaces are almost a necessity, but nothing beats a nice natural surface.

Sounds like the title to a Oregon Duck-themed Dr. Seuss book

Oh, the places you'll go and things you'll do to cheapen the culture of sports.

Gag me!

That'd be enough to make me transfer schools.

I thought it looked ugly. But I gave them a total pass because I knew the backstory about their HC dying right before the season started. That's a traumatic deal, and likely makes their 'family' claim totally legit and not the least bit gimmicky.

Merry Christmas to all the Johnnies, Cobbers, Gusties, Oles, Pipers, Knights, Royals, and Auggies.  OK, to you Tommies, too.
