I found an app called TuneIn which broadcasts the station.
I use Tune In quite a bit.  I dig the angst-ridden grunge of the early and mid 90s.  ;D

The new stadium is taking shape.  The first game against the Oles in 5 months will be a night game.

Finlandia University(population 400-600 students), Hancock Mich (the real Great White North) may be trying to join the UMAC) with a new football team in the near future.

Uff ... that's one nasty road trip. In a previous life I had to make winter treks from Duluth to Houghton/Hancock and it was brutal.  And that would probably be the shortest UMAC trip to Finlandia.

Great pasties, though.

Grew up 12 miles north of Hancock  A great place to be from and the weather was brutal in late fall.  We didn't know any better back in the day.

  I'd hate to be playing football in November in Hancock. It would be similar to International Falls that time of year.

First day of Spring training.  No OC.  Maybe there's a bit of TDT in the water today, but this doesn't have me thinking happy thoughts.  I'm thinking we'll have a pretty s****y year.

Round 3 of the AFL season just finished. Teams are starting to hit their straps and players are starting to show some pretty good skill. The week's top ten plays.

Your post, Bobby, inspired me to waste 30 minutes instead of work.  Turns out that one of the five Australian retail shops that distribute Australia's top ranked beer, Bridge Road Aurora Australis, is just 10 minutes from my house.  They are sold out of this legendary $14/bottle brew (yes, $14!  I feel like I would need to pay just to enter the store).  They do have a few American brands that someone here may recommend a bottle or two from.

* Founders (10 different brews)
* Sierra Nevada (9 brews)
* Lost Coast (5)
* Eviltwin Brewing (3)
* Clown Shoes (11.  One of which, Blaecorn Unidragon, costs $24/bottle!  WTF?)
* Rogue (11)

Any of those worth me spending the college fund on?

I read that the Aurora Australis is brewed in Beechworth (a small town about 4 hours north of Melbourne), shipped (by ship) in used red wine barrels to Norway where they are bottled (apparently aging over the equator makes a difference?) and then sent world wide.  Really?  Isn't all the specialty beer just a bit much?

EDIT:  Whaaaat?!?!?  I flicked through the whole list and a UK beer from Brew Dog called Tactical Nuclear Penguin costs $120 a bottle.  Yes, a BOTTLE!  I guess all problems in the world have already been solved.  I just didn't realize it.

Rogue Dead Guy Ale is pretty good.  Founder's makes some good beer.  If I remember correctly, they make a porter that I like.

tmerton is a big Sierra Nevada fan.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Ok. I'll check out their bottle shop on the weekend and see what's what. Thanks.

Yikes!  120 dollars a bottle?  That's a lot of Hamm's.

Every Sierra Nevada beer I have tried I have liked except the Kellerweis.  It has cloves and bananas in it and is as awful as that combination sounds.

repete

If it has Dogfish on it, odds are it's a pretty good beer. Haven't tried the Pils, but will be looking for it. If SJU ever gets to travel to Wesley, it's not a bad side trip to their original brewpub in a nice beach town.

BDB

I see where some of you boys wandered over to the UMAC board to see if there is any life on that planet.

Apparently there is none.  :P
