Utes-
I'm not sure he can sue. I'm not a lawyer, but as I understand it both parties agreed to arbitration for his request to be reinstated as well as backpay, which he prevailed on both counts. There is always defamation of character, I guess he could sue for that.

As far as the assistant who replaced him, again I'm not 100% sure, but I would believe he is back to the role he had prior to this whole situation.

As far as the players - the Sr. & Jr. were recruited to play for Hoffner- so this "shunning" by them is a bit strange. I'm sure this is far from over. Hoffner could release all the players from their scholarships & they could leave. That would probably be the best situation. Clean house & start from scratch rather than try to work in that toxic environment.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I'm heading to Arizona for Easter this coming Wednesday.  Any suggestions on local / regional beers I should try?

Apologies if I'm a bit late, but here are a few to try ...

Some Johnnie football from Frank:

Warner frightened me at times last season and it is a little unnerving that he is our most experienced member of the secondary.  I hope he continues to improve.

I wonder if the fact that they'd lose their scholarships if they refused to play had any bearing on it???

or the massive public backlash they received.

In any case, it was spring practice.  Juberian still wins the monthly award for stupidest Minnesota small college football player.  Everything about this scandal is overblown except for the Mankato State Administration response.

I hate Geelong more like MUC(k).  UST(d) is different.

I hate Geelong.
I can see why. But at the same time, remember who still has the premiership.
Just out of curiosity, what was up with the goal kicking in that match? It looks like both clubs got plenty of chances but couldn't kick straight (each less than 50%).

It was an insanely good game with huge defensive pressure.  No one could get free to kick well.  Geelong kicked three or so to close the game and push out the lead, but it was on a knife's edge the whole time.  But it's been like that for 8 years.  Geelong 12 wins, Hawks 1.
