In case you were wondering what Tom Linnemann is up to these days:

http://www.sctimes.com/story/sports/2014/04/21/clearly-canadian-ex-sju-qb-checks-toronto/7992403/

I remember Linnemann taking apart my Devils in the playoffs in 2000.  >:(   ;)

I do love this quote however:

"And I can see St. John's getting back to the same kind of success we had in the mid-to-late '90s when we were scoring 40 points in games before halftime, then waiting to have Sloppy Joes after the game was over."

He took quite a beating from Hazuga and those other thugs on the d-line that day!  ;)

Love him or hate him Tom sure was entertaining both on the filed & off the field. Probably his biggest accomplishment was convincing the coaching staff to give a kid, who wasn't an a stand out player in high school,a look at WR. That kid was Blake Elliott.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Does having O'Grady now on the UWW staff taint their championship last year?

Not at all....Leipold is the captain of that program and the worst thing Leipold has ever done is chide a student reporter. (Go cover soccer, Bro!).

O'Grady might have been bending the rules but I doubt he told Leipold about his financial aid creativity when interviewing for the UWW staff job.  I like Liepold and see him and UWW playing by the rules as a program.

Pat Coleman

Nah -- O'Grady won't have any impact on financial aid in this position and he wasn't even on staff last year.

This is a minor violation. We only made a big deal out of it on the site to point out that the NCAA "punished" someone who had nothing to do with it and let off the person who did.

Hard to taint a championship too when he wasn't on staff last year.

I have been MIA for a bit and am just now trying to catch up!

BlueandGoldBU, +K! Your head on a swivel comment was laugh out loud funny!

Junior Hockey- if you saw all of the Puck Bunnies hanging around these guys, you would know they are getting plenty of social development!;-) Between my experiences in college and working in higher education, I worry more about the 16 year old and 40 year old students fitting in with the traditional aged college student than the 22 year olds. They are still in the same cohort group and unless their classmates are carding them, would blend right in.

Welcome back bennie! With the NHL playoffs in full swing I was wondering where you were.

Except your boys the Sedin twins didn't make it this year. I know you love them.  ;)   ;D

Me too.  Damn cold.  Had to go to the car at halftime so my daughter could warm up.  I also remember the 100 yard return of the extra point attempt.  I was just walking in fashionably late and thought it was a TD.  And that monster Huizenga.  One of the most talented d-line guys I've ever seen in D3.  But not as good as Duffman, who was on the winning sideline that day.

Which WIAC school has O'Grady NOT coached at?

Classic bennie wit.  8-)

O'Grady just has to touch base in Stevens Point, Platteville, Eau Claire and La Crosse before reviving the football program in Superior in order to have the entire conference covered.

Great game between Carlton and West Coast on the weekend. The finish was a real thriller. You can see the whole thing here:

Here's an article from the SC Times on Bob Dumonceaux's retirement.  "Dr. D" fathered several outstanding Johnnie football players, and he and his family have been a fixture on the chain gang at Clemen's Stadium for a long time.  Interestingly, he was my dad's academic adviser as well as a math professor of mine.  He's had quite the career, and he's a helluva guy!
