Can I just say that I had to Google the expression "salad days".  ;D

Now I feel old. I did NOT have to Google that phrase. It's sometimes shocking to me what you "youngsters" haven't been exposed to.

I'm just impressed an old man like you knows how to google something  ;)
Google ????? ???

Based on the pricing I heard ($0.38/ounce for domestics), one could conceivably spend about $73/hour on beer.  :o
In my salad days, the Denver Playboy Club card cost $25/ year which was OK but I thought $1.25 for a beer was outrageous.
...... At least I was smart enough not to play pool with a Bunny  ;)
Back in my salad days, when I had a card, the $25 also got me a copy of the magazine every month for free that I could pick up at the club in Chicago. You know, for the interviews and The Pigskin Preview every August and the literary stuff.

Let me ask this question of the Gen Xers and Millennials our there. Has the term "Google" become more a generic term like "Xerox" and "Kleenex"? Or does one have to say "Yahhooed, or, in AO's case "Excited"? Although that could be treading on dangerous territory.

I'd argue it's reached the 'Kleenex' level. Saying it's reached the 'Xerox' level would be hard to do, because I don't know what 'Xerox' is  ;) ;D

I'm too old to be a Gen Xer or a Millennial but I do know what Xerox is. Xerox was the Persian King in the era of the Spartans and the Battle of Thermopylae. King Xerox. Remember the movie "300"? Da.

That might be worth it if you aren't asked to "turn to page 73 of your Game Day Program and look for a big red stamp. If you have a big red stamp on page 73,you just won a refrigerator magnet. Please report to the information booth on the northeast corner of the stadium to collect your prize."

Fridge magnet?  Does it come with the phone number for the local pizza shop? Those things are really convenient.

Looks like TDT caught one of Bautista's homeruns at the Homerun Derby tonight.   The lady next to him was awfully excited, must've been his mom.

I think that is him.  If that were a UST(d) cap then we would know for sure.

This is a Top 10 post of all time!

I don't think that's his mom though. That would be his date. Remember he claims to have been:

Long time no post!  Hope all is well.

I saw the TDT catch and thought it was him.  Then, about two swings later, another Johnnie caught a bomb-- and he got big mention in yahoo

Pretty good day for Johnnies catching homeruns.
